Let's say you click on, "the fat nub" out of curiousity. This is what usually comes up:

Why should the the Stories forum allowed to be spammed with "stories" that took the average 8 year old half a minute to type up?

 

 

 

Now, I'm not saying all Noob Stories are bad. Just most of them are.

 

Some actually take good creativity to type up.

 

 

 

They wipe out other threads which could have taken hours, or even days, for people to type.

 

 

 

If these "short stories" are to be posted, there should at least be a sticky for them. Most only take up to one page or less anyway.

 

 

 

If you disagree with me, please give a good reason. If you say they should have the freedom of posting their stories, tell me why a sticky for one page or less stories is a bad idea.

It is against the rules in the Varrock Library to post such stories, so they will be locked. They probably should delete them, though, but rest assured they are not allowed.

No control over the RSOF, but...

 

 

 

I glance over every story in the Varrock Library at least once. There is a minimum expected quality, and only the topics that contain truly horrible crimes against the English language will get locked. However, I'm not going to tell people what they can and can't write about. This is a Runescape forum, so you can expect Runescape stories. If you're looking for a specific story, you can check the Index sticky, which is an ongoing project I started a few weeks ago. Any author of the library is free to have their stories listed there simply by making a post.

I usually don't read the RSOF stories section, nevermind that I don't usually read the RSOF at all but it doesn't surprise me to hear that stories like that are being posted. What losers..... You have to wonder what entertainment they get out of spamming....

That's the problem with locked threads, they take up space. And without locked threads, how do we make an example out of them?
