Summoning Wallpaper #3

In this case, we have a huge percentage of the playerbase pissed off and confused, a Grand Exchange we are forced to use but that is sitting for 5+ weeks without fixes, and they say nothing about these issues but do take the time to post an announcement about wallpaper.

That's messed up priorities.

No qeltar, once again, you are blowing things out of proportion, conjuring a storm in a small glass of water.

Kindly post percentage, and link us to where you found these statistics before posting it as fact.

As far as I see the players online is what it normally is, and I don't see players ingame going around "?????????????????".

Most players aren't as pissed off and confused as you make it to be, but doomsayers like yourself are forced to exaggerate, thats common.

Obviously they must be encountering some sort of problem either with programming/coding or something else. But that doesn't automatically entitle you to get to know.

If your so pro at business as you obviously wish to come across as, you for one know that its detrimental for a company to openly admit to having problems. So why do you keep demanding that the "truth"?

Truth is they have admitted to the GE being flawed, they don't have to tell you what they're doing to counter these flaws.

This criticism doesn't mean much coming from probably the biggest Jagex [wagon]-kisser on this board.

You have no objectivity or credibility when it comes to these issues. All you do is make excuses for and rationalize everything the company does, no matter what it is.

Well, have fun with it, but in the end, it's simple common sense that a company pulling in seven figures a year is quite capable of providing regular status updates to its customers -- assuming it gives enough of a [cabbage] to do so.

I'm a Jagex [wagon]-kisser for not agreeing with you, how mature and logical.

Who are you to decide what credibility I have? Credibility with you might be low, but thats a personal matter, you saying that publicly is an obvious grasp for straws. Getting personal is a good sign.

If you're such a business/PR pro, why aren't you working for the good of Jagex? Oh wait... .you just can't be assed, right? Or is it more of a personal vendetta you have that you'd care to share with the rest of us? The fact that you have 105.000.000 exp in Runescape, and feel let down by a company you once trusted.

No, you're a Jagex [wagon]-kisser for jumping into nearly any discussion where someone criticizes Jagex and jumping up and down telling everyone they have no right to criticize the company or that they should leave if they don't like things.

Credibility with you might be low, but thats a personal matter

Actually, it's not. Since you've shown that you have no ability to even contemplate that Jagex might be deserving of criticism on any issue, that colors the legitimacy of your comments.

If you're such a business/PR pro, why aren't you working for the good of Jagex?

What makes you think I'm not?

Or is it more of a personal vendetta you have that you'd care to share with the rest of us?

If you want to call getting to the truth a "vendetta", feel free. Of course, since you have Jagex on a mile-high pedestal, you call ANY criticism of them a "vendetta".

The fact that you have 105.000.000 exp in Runescape, and feel let down by a company you once trusted.

You apparently need more psych classes as much as you need more business ones.

Grow up, learn something, and then you might actually be able to say something that matters.

Yes, I think that if one is going to make comments about how business works, one should actually have some experience with it.

So under that logic, one must have experience of being a politician before one engages in politics then? Heil the Fuhrer!

For the matter in-hand, the wallpaper is only concept art. Most of it was likely done by the artist who developed the Summoning skill's avatars. I can't imagine it would have taken that long for them to convert concept art into something that could be released into the public domain as a wallpaper.

The updates needed for the GE require much more time. I don't even see the monster-hunting clans, whose ways were practically destroyed yesterday, disagreeing with that.

On a more logistical level, this wallpaper was probably made by someone with clear talent in graphical art; yet you would have them work on a code they probably know nothing about, on an economy they have little experience of? Knowing people's personal skills is key to being a good leader, and so far Andrew and Paul have done that with near indesputable perfection.

"Heil the Fuhrer"? What the hell is the matter with you?

Are you suggesting that someone who has no experience with politics can speak of it with as much relevance and authority as someone who does?

yet you would have them work on a code they probably know nothing about, on an economy they have little experience of?

No, I specifically did NOT say that.

Christ, this place is getting to be as bad as the RSOF.

You just can't accept the fact that I have a ligher look on things than you do. I might as well say the same, that you jump into any discussion where you eye the possibility to discredit Jagex.

What makes you think I'm not? (working for Jagex)
Because, Charles, I know you don't.

If you want to call getting to the truth a "vendetta", feel free. Of course, since you have Jagex on a mile-high pedestal, you call ANY criticism of them a "vendetta".

Don't generalise. You are the only person in my 1800 posts that I have accused of holding a vendetta, go ahead and search through my posts. You also own a website with a pretty clear agenda to further support my accusation.

You apparently need more psych classes as much as you need more business ones.

Thats true. And you need just the opposite, friend.

There's no need for the flaming qeltar. We have as much right to question your opinion as you do of questioning Jagex's.

For the first quote, that is not what you said at all. You said that if someone wishes to comment on something, they should have experience of it first. The fact is, and this is the beauty of a liberal society, we can have an opinion on absolutely anything we want, and so long as we can justify it, we don't actually need personal experience.

As for the second, well what are you saying? By 'priorities', what exactly are you referring to, if not diverting manpower to the things that should take priority in your eyes?
