If this is in wrong forums im sry mods please move it.

My friend and i were talking about tip.it and was wondering where is the proof that the people on the top 200 F2P list have never been members before, im not saying the list is fake or anything i was just wondering how dose someone know for sure someone on the list has never been P2P.

I use to make a lot of money off telling friend i just got hacked they gave me 1-2m sometimes saying how sorry they felt.

maybe i'll get rank 1 in wc

Well considering that most top F2Pers play F2P because they are unable to obtain membership is one key fact. You have to keep in mind these people are pretty famous, so if they're spotted in a members world, they're pretty much busted. People play in F2P for a challenge as well, which is why some of them will never turn members.

There used to be a fool proof way to find out if they had or hadn't been a member before, but new Jagex updates have made it impossible to check now.

But either way, the top 200 f2p list isn't completely reliable, but does that really matter? We know that the majority of the higher players have never been a member cause they have friends who have known them forever and would gouge for them, plus if a f2per wanted to get to that point and used member's to get there then why even bother? It's an achievement because we've never been members, not because we're on a list.

From now on I guess we'll have to cope with something called: Trust.

EDIT - Signature far exceeds our sig limits but since it's so colourful you can keep it.

We can add up their total levels to see if they add up, check high scores, add up overall exp and all the other ways described above.

Also, very few people just train F2P skills in members.

And, if they did, we would probably route them out, and they would be gone and blacklisted. Also, most likely hated by all of the people in the list and anyone aspiring to be in the list.

It's called Math. Ever heard of it? :|

He's saying that you couldn't tell if someone only trained their f2p skills in p2p, and then claimed they were only f2p. How could you use math to determine that?

MoonShadow just said how... And who would train only f2p skills on members jsut to get on a list? Well maybe some lol

The guy who made the thread meant, how do we know they don't just train f2p stats, in p2p worlds for faster xp.

Before the billing update a month or two ago, you could go to the 'account recovery' page and input a person's name to see if they'd been p2p in the past.

If the account recovery page asked for billing information, p2p pin, etc., then the person has been p2p before.

While that system was in place, all the names were checked to make sure they were actually pure f2p.

So even if you can't check them to be 100% now, majority of the names on the list have been checked in the past.

There are at least two people that I know of that have been caught using that method, so, yeah its possible that some people obsessed about the top f2p list so much that they got p2p just to train f2p skills, but it's not a common occurrence at all.

If the account has been a member when you go to "recover a lost password" and type the account name in it asks for an agreement number. This doesn't appear for purely f2p players.

No one would happen to have a screen shot of syzygy username in this account recovery thing would they, my friend doubts he is pure f2p?

If anyone could provide a screen of a P2P person in the account recovery thing that would be great(if you have a screen before the update anyways).

Nevermind what I said, it isn't all too reliable. There are some accounts I know are pure f2p that ask for the agreement number. Syzygy's account does but one of my f2p accounts did too, so it's not a real way to tell.

Well, idk... but it would just be sad to train just F2P skills in P2P.

Waste of money. :]

How do you get chosen to be on the list anyways?

Not sure i think you submit your rsn to (forget name of person) and they check to see if your pure f2p and see if you are among the top 200.
