i have the money to fund a crystal bow, and more than enough to buy mith or addy bolts for my rune c bow. which is more effiecient at actually killing monsters, not training?

rune crosbow...hits harder...specel effects like poison on some bolts...crystal bow is gud if you dont wanna spend alot of money, that is, if youve already payed it off...

the bolt specials are way cool and strong. you cud hit a strong 18 with mith bolts even at 65 range with mith bolts

Depends what charge your bow is at and what kind of bolts you use. For mith and below bolts, crystal bow is better at any charge. For addy bolts, crystal bow is better until 3\10ths charge. For rune bolts, crystal bow is the same at full, but less at any other charge. EDIT: Never mind, there are no dragon bolts. My bad :oops:

There are no dragon bolts, unless you mean dragonstone tipped runite crossbow bolts?

the crystal bow loses range bonus so if it was below 8\10 then the rune c bow would slightly be better. of course it depends on what bolt you use. :P

So, the Crystal Bow comes out at around 9% faster Slayer experience per hour, and marginally cheaper. This was with Addy bolts, the best ones which are economically viable for training with. As they come out slower than the Crystal Bow, I didnt really see the need to test with Mithril as well.

 

 

 

There you have it, the Crystal Bow IS better than Rune Cbow. Hopefully that should clear up some issues. Its worth noting that the Crystal Bow was almost half as slow as when I did Nechryaels with melee (see my DFS v Defender data) so I really wouldn't recommend Ranging them unless you are already maxed melees." [i'd rephrase that to "unless you are projected to get 99 slayer before 99 range"]

I rather use my Crystal bow as its cheaper. But i guess it all comes down to what you are fighting.
