January 10, 200818 yr i sent membership by mail about 3 weeks ago (my parents wont use their visa...), i used the paypal website, and subscribed for 1 year worth membership, which for me cost 72.99 canadian (had to send 75 since sending coins is risky). ok here's the problem...as i said its been 3 weeks since i sent the mail, and the subscription still hasnt been activated for my account...im getting EXTREEMELY worried, because ive been using pay by mail for more than a year, and the maximum time it has taken has ALWAYS been 2 weeks(maybe a day or two more). (lowest was about 3 days, w00t :) ) anyways...i need to know if anyone else that uses pay by mail has faced similar problems with delayed membership activations. should i just keep patient?? or do i have a possible lost mail problem?? i live in canada, and the mail is always addressed to charlottesville usa, so ti shouldnt take that long to reach there...i always use the mailbox to send the letter, and ive never had to put a stamp on it the previous times, it had always turned out ok... January 10, 200818 yr Author Personally i would wait it out a few more days, sorry if i couldnt be any more help By any chance can you explain or show me how pay by mailm it would be much appreciated.. =) well you go to the subscribe for membership page, and choose pay by cash. from there, u can either choose to pay by mail, cheque and other several methods (in this case i choose mail) they make you fill out a form containing address information and whatnot. you then proceed to a page containing the address ur supposed to mail it to, on the page it contains your order number, account name, length of subscription (1 year in my case), and the address of the place (charlottesville usa, and other specific details). you then print off that page, put it into an envelope, containing the money needed for the order. you send the mail through the mailbox, and it is sent to paypal, which contacts jagex and informs them of your subscription order. your account is then approved for membership status, and you enjoy it for the length you payed for. January 10, 200818 yr so mail from canada doesnt need a stamp? [Thank you very much Skull_Emblem For the Beutiful Sig And Jopie for doing the Text]
January 10, 200818 yr so mail from canada doesnt need a stamp? No, mail in canada certainly does need a stamp! I don't know what you did, but if you don't put a stamp on an envelope, it won't go anywhere. i would guess that you had previously given the letter to your parents, who had put a stamp on it for you, but this time you just put it into some postal box. Now it is sitting in the post office, not going to be sent anywhere. That's what it takes to be a hero, a little gemof innocence inside of you that makes you wantto believe that there still exists a right and wrong, that decency will somehow triumph in the end.--Lise Hand

I don't get it. Unless you had a prepaid envelope, you need a stamp of some sort to send any mail. You make ne sense to me. You need a stamp to send anything in the mail, unless you have a prepaid envelope. It's that simple. January 10, 200818 yr Mail has to be franked with some sort of indication that postage has been paid. For individuals like you and me, that means buying a stamp (businesses use postage meters, politicians get free franking in the US). Since you say you sent Canadian funds, I'll assume you are in Canada. Postage from Canada to the US can be looked up at Canada Post. Right now, it costs $0.93 CDN to mail a letter to the USA (that rate is changing in less than a week). Hopefully, you put a return address on it. If you put no stamp and no return address, you might as well have lit your money on fire in the back yard. January 10, 200818 yr I pay by mail and I never pay for more than 3 months at a time just to be safe :-# Mine have all gone through, some longer than others though. Good luck! :D Feel free to HYT me in-game =)~~3,483rd to 99 Thieving, Feb 22, 2008~~"There's never enough time to do all the nothing you want." - Calvin (& Hobbes)
January 10, 200818 yr I'd say contact pay by cash to tell them you have that problem. I pay by check through the mail, the best as it is the safest, and it stays in Canada (goes to Toronto).
January 10, 200818 yr Am I understanding this correctly?? You put actual cash (not a check or money order) in an envelope, addressed to an address in the US, and you put no stamp on the envelope ??? If that is the case ...I hate to break it to you, but you may have to kiss that money goodbye. Even to mail a letter to your next door neighbor requires a stamp. And Putting cash in the mail is never a good idea, always at least get a money order ...it costs a little bit, but is made out like a check so nobody else can spend it. I hope I am wrong, and somehow your money gets through ...maybe they are still catching up on mail delivery from the holidays. If you don't hear anything soon, check with your local post office, not sure in Canada, but here in US, the post ofice usually has a dead letter box where they put undeliverable mail, depending how small your post office is and how helpful they may try to look around for you. Did you at least put a return address on it?? if so you may get it back, it may just take a while.
January 10, 200818 yr ouch.... wow you better hope that's some prepaid envelope.. Since you have done this before without a stamp, where did you get the envelopes to sent that money in, since obviously they must have been pre-paid ones.
January 10, 200818 yr dude, never send cash in the mail :ohnoes: !! there is such a thing as checks.. i would never do that :notalk:
January 10, 200818 yr I did the same thing. The first one i sent was prosessed very quickly. I sent another one and it took over 3 weeks. I thought it was "lost" in the mail but one day when i wasn't explecting it, I had membership. Just be patient it should work. Canada ftw btw. EDIT: I used a stamp though... :ohnoes: PRIVATE CHAT ON My BlogDragon Drops:2 Chains, 4 Meds, 1 2H, 2 Left Halves, 2 Legs, 1 SkirtRate My Bank!
