1.Drop trading, is it still a problem? 2. Grave markers?

1.Hey guys, now i have just started playing again pretty recently so i was caught unaware by the whole balanced trade thing( annoying to because i cant donate my used armour to lower lvl guys) and also there can no longer be clan banks..( well not very easily, there's a limit to the runes and food you could give to your clan members).

But yesterday at the grand exchange( my first time there, it confuses me..) i dropped some junk from my bank on the floor like i usually do. I assumed that they had changed the game so dropped items disappeared or something but lower lvl players came to pick up my items like normal...

So i don't understand this basically, have they not tackled drop trading? Surely the gold sites could still drop trade money?

2. Ok well yesterday i saw a grave marker in Dharoks crypt. I have never seen one before and don't understand them. I had the option to bless it at 70 prayer, what does that mean?

Also does it now mean when you die you don't drop your items? I wasn't there when he died but i saw no items on the floor or anything, can anyone explain these graves to me?

any help would be great!! :D :D

A lot of changes happened. I'd be happy to give you a breakdown this time, but next time, please use the RuneScape home page instead of hitting "Existing Members".

1) Limit is now 3k per 15 minutes. You can receive or give away up to a total of 3k's worth within a 15 minute duration. This was to kill RWTers.

Grand Exchange is where you can sell or buy anything at any time. Put something up for auction, people will buy (eventually - not always instant).

You can drop stuff of course, it's just now a longer wait time for people who want to pick stuff up. Meant to kill off drop traders.

2) Grave markers are installed so that the player who died can retrieve their stuff. If the marker dies off, the stuff there disappears too. This was also meant to kill drop trading. You can repair a gravestone at lvl 2 prayer, I believe. You can bless it @ lvl 70 so it lasts up to an hour.

1.) only dropped items below a certain value will appear

2.) graves provide a way to retrieve your items after you die, blessing a grave gives the player an hour to retreive their items

3.) Just read updates on the main RS page next time

Only 3,000 gp "worth" of items can be seen if dropped every 15 minutes. (A bit complex, but you "regain" 200 gp per minute that can be seen when dropped.)

An item's worth is determined by its current value on the Grand Exchange.

When you dropped your junk, it wasn't worth 3,000 gp. Therefore, people could see it.

Graves are new. When you die, you keep three items like normal, but your items are now protected by a grave for a certain period of time. If you get back there in time, you can get them. If you don't make it, nobody will ever see the items (unless they happen to be less than 3k). "Blessing" the gravestone will cause it to last longer, so you can help someone out by doing that. A bless will give the gravestone an hour, while praying at it gives it an extra couple minutes, I believe.

Different types of gravestones last different amounts of time. See the knowledge base on runescape.com for a little more detail on that.

Items under 3k will still appear to other players.

Its the new way of death in RuneScape. When you die, a gravestone stands where you died and the items you lost will be stored underneath it. Depending on which grave marker you buy, it will last for 2-5 minutes. Anyone can use prayer points to repair the grave, making it and your items last for 5 more minutes. Also, they can bless the grave with 70+ prayer and make it last for up to an hour.

That is very wrong!!

1) They didnt made it longer for you to pick up stuff. You just cant see stuff on the ground that price is above your trading limit.

2) you can NOT revive other players, no matter how. The blessing option allows the grave to stay up to 1 hour allowing the dead player plenty of time to go back. If you cant bless it you can repair the grave adding up to 5 minutes to the time it stands.

Basic grave gives you 1 minute. Best grave 5. You can buy them in Lumbridge's church or (better ones) at Keldagrim's stone masson

Quest cape obtained at combat level 83, march 07.

i apologize for not reading all the runescape articles, i just thought a quick sum up by players who know the updates would be quicker.

Two more questions if that's ok...

When one blesses a grave marker, do they receive any prayer xp for their generosity?

Also in the Grand exchange, lets say i place a bid to buy 100 bolt racks( lets say value of 270-320) at 300 each. Do i wait in a queue of people who have also placed this offer before me, or if someone sells 100 it is split between 5 people making the offer?

Also i assume that just because i said 300gp each, if there was a seller at 280gp each it would buy them for me and give me the change?

Sorry about this thread kind of breaking the rules.

I can't say for sure whether the Blesser gets prayer exp 'cause I don't have level 70 prayer. As for the GE, it seems trades are done on a first-come-first-served basis. With this "unequal" trades (buying for 300 gp ea and selling for 280 gp), I've heard that the difference goes to the person that put up the offer first. I.e., if you bought for 300gp and then someone offered to sell for 280gp, you'll receive both the Bolt Racks and 20 gp per Rack.
