Web Hosting Deals?

Recommended Posts

I have recently made a semi-good fan site for runescape. But i would like to have a paid website so i can have a lot more pages. Does anyone know any sites that are cheap and offer good plans for web hosting? If so, please say so.

Sorry if this is wrong forum. If it is, mods please move it.

Not the cheapest in the industry, but they have amazing customer support. I've been with a few cheap paid hosting companies and they all scred me over. I've never had a problem with hostdime and they're always available to talk to you unlike most companies...

Please.. stray away from hostdime.

Get out while you can..

I was with them for a few months.. 5 or 6..

Thier support is fast, I'll give them that, but thier support is also non-existant. There were tons of problems with my server, and constant downtime. I sent several tickets to them, but they never fixed my server (I had a "silver reseller" plan). I don't know if it was just me who had a bad experience with HD, but the fact is I did.

Check out

RuneScript and RuneTracker!

Must have been a bad experience. Every time anything happened to my server it was fixed in a few hours.

I could spend all day recommending hosting companies such as http://www.webhostingtalk.com and ask around there. NEVER go with anyone that offers unlimited space or bandwidth... its a con

merc, i use hostultra

tyhey provide unlimted bnand width and never had a prolbem with htem. They have no banner heiter

upload a 1gb file and tell people to download it. see how long til you get kicked off for "resource hogging". Belive me its a marketing ploy. There will always be a finite amount of anything.

Agreed, I've had nothing but trouble when dealing with "unlimited" hosts. Nothing is unlimited.

Ugg, sorry about that slurred post, I can't believe I typed that

Anyways, I really only use my host to upload and download files from school to home to work and the ammount of bandwidth I use is ALOT more than what stupid hosts like google or freewebs would ever offer for free. You are probably right, there is a cap... but the truth is the deal I have is alot better then all the other ones I looked at

YES.. They are lying.. you cannot have unlimited with limits.. It's that simple. They don't make unlimited size hard drives and they don't make unlimited network connections.

There is no such thing as UNLIMITED Thats it.. To claim unlimited is a lie. PERIOD. To claim UNLIMITED with LIMITATIONS is called a scam. If you actually beleive it's possible thats called stupidity.

If you choose to fall into that scam then so be it.. I'm not going to argue any further. Don't come back here crying when you get ripped off by a host who claims to give you unlimited. Enjoy wasting your money..

Scam? Nah... I am only using their free package. I would never pay for web space unless I was making a professional site. Like I said, I only really use it to transfer stuff from school to work to home, whether it is C++ homework or a PDS file I made. Either way, the bandwidth I have used is much much much more then ge0cities of fr33webs would have allowed me, and I have yet to have any complications with them.

Don't see why you are dragging this out any further

In regards to unlimited bandwith

"Unmetered" is the correct term to use meaning the host dosent put any limits on but your still limited by the capacity of the line.

Unmetered is only possible with a dedicated line.
