Deathmath
Well, in any case I am not impressed with the new boards, but that's not my bone to pick. Let's get the difficulties resolved. But my question is: Previously I asked for help with building a computer. Unfortunately I could not find the post and recover it. I ended up getting a similar build to kreigsmier. So... 1) snipersas helped me so if you can reinvent that build. It came to like a little under 7 or 8 hundred can't remember which. It was extremely similar to kreig's. So if kreig could post his build as well? Sorry, ~Deathmath Oh and lol. 83 posts now. I had FREAKING 600!! Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again
sloter
I don't remeber but i am going to get on-topic with your 600 to 83 post i had 300 something now at 17. Does tip it only backup there databases every 2-3 months?
Rcty
Off-Topic:Does tip it only backup there databases every 2-3 months? Please read the news announcements on the main site and on the forum.I'm happy to announce that the forum is up, but I also have sad news. We lost 2 and half months worth of posts. Of course you will ask why and how this happened. Unfortunately one of our own staff, an ex tech admin who maintained the forum for a number of years, backstabbed us as his goodbye act. He used his inside technical knowledge to hurt us. Tip.It has lost hundreds if not thousands of dollars that I will have to cover, but what is more important is the loss of 2 and half months of creativity from our community: ideas, guides, jokes, links and much more. We worked hard to recover whatever was possible and for this we can thank Neminon and especially can thank Marshalrusty who spent sleepless nights and a ton of his free time to bring the forums back. His help was priceless. That would include deleting many forum backups that we had. ~Rcty Rcty

ClareJonsson
I think we all could go into how we would backup our own servers etc, but in the end sh*t happens. People have learnt some very hard lessons here and I think we need to move on, Tip.It crew must be feeling bad enough without us reminding them about it. Lets try and bring the board back up to its former glory and put this setback in the annals of the past. Whoever that guy who back stabbed Tip.It is should be totally ashamed of themselves. It was totally unprofessional and deserves to follow them around for a very very long time. Clare. [Assist-X]

JoeDaStudd
What's the currency? (USD or GBP) Off the topic: I thought tip.it might have had a full backup to an external device or media every few weeks or at least once a month. Each to there own I suppose. Kriegsmier
Well, in any case I am not impressed with the new boards, but that's not my bone to pick. Agreed. Previously I asked for help with building a computer. I don't have the exact links to items but this is my build, never fear i am here. CPU: Q6600 Inteel Quad Core Power Supply: Corsair 650w Graphics Card: NVIDIA EVGA GeForce 8800GT RAM: 2x2GB (4GB total) GSkill PC6400 DDR2 Mobo: GIGABYTE P35 DS3L HDD: Seagate 500GB Case: Thermaltake Armor OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit Optical Drive: Samsung something or other. DVD/RW drive. My computer runs like a DREAM. It feels great and looks great. I run Age of Conan (the newest hardware hungry game out there) on high detail everything at max and i have no problems. I had a few bumps in installation and setup but being my first build it went smooth. Word of advice, try and get retail everything, OEM is cheaper, but you don't always get the manuels or CD Driver discs with the product and thats the snag i hit. Retail versions can save you headaches. Oh yeah and i will be getting an additional 4GB RAM tomorrow. I'll be rocking 8GB.
Deathmath
Yay. Where did you get yours where it was OEM? Just want to avoid that. Is newegg OEM, or is is specific. Thanks a lot krieg. Kriegsmier
I think it was Newegg, or ZipZoomFly. I forgot. Just read it, it should say OEM. Read the customer reviews too.
