I was wondering if dragon items were like a little bit better than rune in terms of defense.

 

 

 

Dragon pl8skirt > rune pl8skirt?

 

Dragon Med helm > rune full helm?

 

Dragon square > rune kiteshield?

 

Dragon boots ... self-explanatory.

They all are, but some of them aren't worth buying.

 

 

Dragon pl8skirt > rune pl8skirt? Worth it.

 

Dragon Med helm > rune full helm? It's not worth the price, for like ~3-4 def difference.

 

Dragon square > rune kiteshield? Not worth either, only ~5-6 def difference

 

Dragon boots ... self-explanatory. Worth it.

All dragon items are better than their rune counterparts in terms of bonuses given, but the price for each bonus might not be worth it. If you have the cash go for it.
