June 16, 200818 yr Well, I made my first 1.6 mil, and bought myself a whip. Now I'm going for 70 attack (69 atm, 40K to go). Stats: 70 strength, 68 defence and by the time I kill some drags, 70 attack. I want to make some money with D bones and D hides (green). Haven't been there in a while. Main goal is end up with 14 D bones, and 14 hides. I will use the next set-up: Helm of Neitzinot Amulet of Defence Rune Plate Dragon Skirt Anti Dragon shield (the orange one) Black gloves (might be mithrill soon) Rune boots Whip In my iventory I will carry 10 karambwan, and 10 monks. Free spots for the drops (8 empty spots, enough for 4 kills, by the time, I have used some food I think) But now I'm in a doubt. Should I use rune defender with anti fire pots instead of shield? Should I go with the granite plate instead of rune? Any suggestions for amulet? Next question is range Blue dragons. Range is 60, 61 soon. I will use rune c'bow with saphire (e) mithrill bolts Red D hide Frog leather boots Archer helmet Anti fire shield Accumulater (or how you spell it) I don't know what kinda ammulet to bring Archer ring is too expensive at this time. Could I kill enough drags to make a profit? Or should I wait till 70 range, and use Black D'hide? Any tips on armour set-up? Thnx in advance! "We had gay burglars the other night. They broke in and rearranged the furniture."
June 16, 200818 yr Use a shield. If you're mainly interested in making money, kill greens since they're much faster. Use either rune or granite plate, they have almost the same stats. Go with a glory if you have a gravestone and can pick up your stuff in time if you get killed by a rev.
June 16, 200818 yr blue dragons are slower than greens if u are thinking about making the fastest cash...a shield is much safer and you don't really need anti-fire pots if u are bringing that much food so just choose one option...you might want to consider wearing red d hide to kill green dragons too cause of the many revs that roam the wildy... maxed out melee on 10/10/08, current goal: 94/99 cookinglife may be unfair, but why can't it be unfair in my favor?my fake plant died because i forgot to pretend to water it
June 16, 200818 yr Even with antifire potions without a shield, they can hit you pretty dang high with firebreath - in the 20s, maybe 30s. Just use an antidragon shield, and only ten monkfish. Sig credit goes to ThruItAll. :D
June 16, 200818 yr Use an antifire shield. And no, don't range blue dragons. I did the timing once at 89 range, with addy bolts and range pots I got 196.8K per hour on average. Green dragons are 580K at my level, plus 150K worth of charms with the best gear and prayer. Not sure how avansies are doing now, but I'm guessing around 350K per hour and better range XP then blues. With my old method of rune knives I made around 550k per hour at avansies, but that's probably impossible by now. Drops: 1x Draconic Visage, 56x Abyssal Whip, 5x Demon Head, D Drops: 37, Barrows Drops: 43, DK Drops: 29GWD drops: 14,000x Bars, 1x Armadyl Hilt, 2x Armadyl Skirt, 4x Sara Sword, 1x Saradomin Hilt, 8x Bandos Hilt, 8x Bandos Platebody, 9x Bandos Tassets, 4x Bandos Boots, 43x Godsword Shard, 82x Dragon BootsDry streak records: Saradomin 412 kills Bandos 988 kills Spirit Mages 633 kills - Slayer Sucks
June 16, 200818 yr I got a lot of my earliest melee stats on green dragons with a d scim. Of course, I was a quest fiend, so I already had stuff like the scim and a Legends Cape. Greens aren't too demanding. 10 monks in your inv will last you long enough. I didn't even use antifire pots. Wear a dhide body, rune legs, fremmy helm, and an antidragon shield, and just melee them as long as you want. It's eeeaaaasy as pie.
