so whats been going on?

Hey guys I used to be an avid scaper around 3 years ago. I finally quit the game after i was hacked 22mil. I just couldn't carry on after a blow like that and then my friend introduced me to warcraft. I gotta say that i love warcraft but once you get into endgame content, you have to depend on others if you want to progress. What i think i liked most about runescape was everything you did was largely independent like barrowing for example. I have decided to try and get back in the game just as a side project while im waiting for raids in warcraft and such. Just wanted to know what exactly has happened since i left. The things that i can remember being fairly new were

 

hunting

 

achievement capes (i snagged the quest one)

 

barbarian outpost minigame

 

new treasure trail items (like 3rd age armor)

 

and there was a HUGE inflation of gold in the economy

 

dunno if any of the oldies still play (or relative oldies) i seem to remember Ugafan as a friendly barrows partner, the rest are a blur

 

so if any1 could just drop off whats been going on it would be greatly appreciated

You know about the grand exchange (ge)? It is like a giant eBay without bids. Alos you can not give somone anything in items or money wher they are making or you are giving more than 3k every15 mins. ii dont know if it goes up if you get more qeuest points. This is just some of the stuff that affets me everytime i play. If i thnk of moe ill post em.

Hmm, some big things I can think of off the top of my head:

 

 

 

-Trading limit, you can only make "balanced trades"

 

-Introduction of the "Grand Exchange" near the Varrock West Bank, for trading

 

-Oh yeah, and a new skill called Summoning. It affects combat level so the new highest combat level is 138, it's no longer 126.

You may have missed out on Construction and Hunter as well as Summoning. Brief overview:

 

 

 

-Construction allows you to build your own house with lots of useful features, such as portals with unlimited teleports, altars that can be used to increase prayer experience from bones, and lecterns that can make tele-tablets that can be broken later to teleport to the location.

 

 

 

-Hunter allows you to trap lots of different creatures. For example, chinchompas are like living grenades, and salamanders are like living flamethrowers. And the fur from spottier kebbits can be made into a cape that reduces your weight by 5 kg, allowing you to run for longer.

 

 

 

-Summoning allows you to bring familiars of all shapes and sizes to your aid. They can fight alongside you, store items to extend your inventory as much as 30 slots, teleport you to places as remote as the Lava Maze, boost your skill levels, heal you, and other useful functions.

22M hacked? Well, thats now about 22 hours worth of killing at Godwars. Yep, money is infinitely easier to come by now, and the introduction of Grand Exchange has meant that most commonly used items are very easy to buy. No more standing in Fally park searching for an elusive bit of armour for a Uri clue!

Please please please dont post in different colors (not sure about you guys but it hurts my eyes). I dont think ugafan plays any more but im not sure.

Oh theres also no more pking or staking. Summoning affected a lot of tiny items that no one likes and made em shoot up in price. Sum,moning also affected a lot of monster hunting and skilling and minigames ( basically the whole game). Several tens of thousand people quit, and also they're aren't any more autoers. Dunno if you were around for godwars, but thats a really popular way to make cash now. Not many of the oldies are here anymore ( as in stopped playing) but I know for a fact most of em still browse these forums.
