Anyone know how to stop StyleXP from applying background style? I use the nView background setup and can't get it to work with StyleXP apparently force applying the background to be the same on both monitors :evil:

If you don't know what Style XP is then why are you posting on a thread with a question about it? Your just spamming. There is also a tool called Google.

 

 

 

To the OP: I don't really get your question. Are you trying to change the background to be different on different displays and Style XP is keeping it the same? If that's the case I use a program called Ultramon which can change screensavers and wallpapers independently of the other monitor.

StyleXP is basically a program that uses a lot of ram to make your pc look like vista or leopard. It can screw some things you already had. It screwed up the theme that came with Media Edition PC. IMO, it's better to just patch uxtheme.dll

 

 

 

Both StyleXP and WindowsBlinds just uses too much ram for my liken.

Well, I ended up removing StyleXP anyways but just to clarify.... I was originally using the nView to apply different backgrounds to each monitor and after intstalling StyleXP the visual style which I wanted to use applied it's own background. Now; I went through the process with nView again to apply my seperate backgrounds, would refresh the desktop and they would flash with the re-draw and then instally get changed to what was specified in the config for the visualStyle background.

Wouldn't it just be easier to use that windows hack Shadowfax posted in Off topic, on the desktop thread? That way you can have the desktop set the way you want and still have a custom theme.
