aceripper
Quick question, Does the damage dealt from monsters that have magic based attacks, (jellies etc) depend solely on your magic defence level and your magic level, or does your defense level play a part in the damage dealt? In other words, If two players (player x, and player y) had the same magic level, same magic defense bonus, but player x had 1 defence, and player y had 99, would there be a difference in damage dealt? hope you guys can understand what im getting at, Thanks ;-D
Hegel
Defence lvl affects the chance of getting hit, but does not reduce the damage if it hits, if that's what you mean
Mr_Adam
Defense and Magic will help you defend against magic attacks, and you should wear Dragonhide. Hope I understood what you were going for!
baileydafrog
i think he means does actual defence come in to play when defending against magic based attacks, or just magic defence on outfit, and maybe mage lvl
aceripper
bailey yeah thats what I mean, thanks for the replies, I was just wondering because i'm wondering if my mauler would survive for long at Jellies :P I have good mage level and 70+ range, so dhide is no problem, just wondering if my defense (1) would let me down or not. BabyPunchers
I'm pretty sure you're mage level counts for 70% of your magic defense. And your def level is 30% of it. There was a study a while back. Can't seem to find it though. Thanks to all those who have messaged me concerning a revamp of my Range-Slayer guide. Because of you all I will start rewriting it asap.[/color] Formerly RobinHoodie.

craven_range
Proof: Piety+Pro mage protects better than Pro Mage, it has been tested by many cw players.
