Runecrafting - Fairy Rings vs. The Abyss

Featured Replies

Hey Tip.it, I have a question that I hope gets resolved quickly:

Currently I have 51 Runecrafting, and I'm planning to keep training it indefinitely. Right now, I use the Fairy Rings from A Fairy Tale, Part II, but I was wondering; does the Abyss provide faster access than the fairy ring CKR? Thanks in advance.

Yes, the abyss is way faster. Anyone with over 45 defence or something should never use fairy rings.

Glory teleport. It's most effiecient if you have about 30 glories, so you can recharge them all at once in one inventory when they run out.

I don't have the stats for the Heroes quest, though, and I really don't feel like it anyway. :-/

Is there some house location thing I can use? Like mounting a glory on my wall, and then using house tele tabs?

Abyss is definitayl the fastest as stated.

For the most effective method you need the glory teleports (and games neckalces to get to heroes fast)

For the second most effective i belive its home tele tabs and mounted glory

Operation Gold Sparkles :: Chompy Kills ::  Full Profound :: Champions :: Barbarian Notes :: Champions Tackle Box :: MA Rewards

Dragonkin Journals :: Ports Stories :: Elder Chronicles :: Boss Slayer :: Penance King :: Kal'gerion Titles :: Gold Statue

House tabs and a mounted glory is slow too.

If you really can't be bothered to do heroes, just sell uncharged on the g/e and buy them back charged. This costs about 1,5k per ammy though.

Yes, and 15 seconds add up. Especially when normal runs are about 85 seconds, with a mounted glory its 100 seconds. Runs are about 450xp with a familiar, so 19k xp per hour with normal glories and 16k xp per hour with a mounted glory.

If you're going to runecraft for a long time, don't use a mounted glory.

I'd suggest using House Tele tabs and mounting a charged glory in your house. You need 47 construction, but it's worth it. If you place your quest hall next to your entrance portal, then it reduces the time per run. It's also a lot cheaper than buying a load of glories. If you've done As A First Resort... then you can use the salt water pool for 25 mins unlimited run energy which saves money on energy pots. Good luck!

You need Heroes to make a glory mount -.-

I could have sworn that I could mount one without that quest....hmmm....are you sure?

I made a mounted glory before doing Heroes. It's probably the best way without doing Heroes if you don't mind using house tabs. You could use Duel Rings with a Graahk (sp?) if you train summoning.
