Is this lag... permanent?

Featured Replies

The first day I had a little lag but everything worked fine in hd. The 2nd day it started to freeze every once in awhile then close my browser window. I think in trying to fix something after the 1st day, something else went wrong the 2nd. At least they are tweaking things daily and will get it right eventually... btw 1gig ram, 3 gig speed.

New PC is running at full HD and not had any lag apart from the first day.

Old PC has no lag running in low detail modes as before.

Don't think so for all of the reasons stated above. It's just because of the update, but it will get better.

I'm running RS HD very smooth now, usually anyway, depends on the crowds and the worlds I choose. My laptop is 2 years old, have a broadband Internet connection, but it's wireless on the laptop, so it can be shaky at times.

Oddly enough, the worlds Jagex suggests for me have gone to all kinds of American worlds, when before they suggested Dutch worlds (I'm Belgian, so that would figure).

I'm running with max settings, but whenever I hit a crowd of players I get massive amounts of lag. Changing the settings doesn't help, so its probably the connection.

Expect the lag to go down in a few days.

it toned down for me. try playing in safe mode. :)

I have no intrest in helping "keyers" farm xp.

The lag has been reducing for me, but I hate how the screen turns completely black when it has to load on HD.

once you explore a bit more and your computer gets used to all of this you will have no problems

As everyone else stated, the lag should lessen over time.

As for teleporting, you don't move far enough for to have to load at all as you stay in the same "map."
