First you have to know what type of things people buy a lot of. Also, don;t use something someone can get from an unlimited stock at a store.

I had a friend who for fun, bought 10 million pink skirts at 1 gp each. Now they are 17-19 ea.

That is luck.

Things to watch are:

Certain armors like barrows, 3rd age, and sometimes rune.

Certain potions like brews and super restores as well as super potions.

Godswords and hilts

Weapons like zammy spears and sara swords

and certain TT items.

make a spreadsheet and track price over a week to a month

once you see good choice, take them

i do raw lobbies. I always have 13k on ge for lowest price

they sell to me in a week

i resell for market to 5 gp higher

so i make like 300k just from doing normal activities.

I hope this helps

Ugh.

I think I'll give you a post that's not useless and completely rude.

The first post, if you read, he's asking about merchanting, not skilling.

And the second post, it's not impossible. You're just too stupid to get it fool.

Now. Unto the subject.

Some good items to merchant are armor sets. But the sets in pieces, all of the pieces under a little bit, then turn them into sets and resell, if you get a little off from the medium price on each item, then when you make it a set and sell, all those little profits will add up to a bigger profit. You can do this with pretty much any armor set, and if you're members, because you can use all the slots, it's easier to buy all the pieces at once.

Another good item is to buy treasure trail amulets. Magic (t) and Strength(t) are good to merchant.

The money you have right now will be good for making some profit. Remember, the more money you have, the bigger profit you can get.

Wow...not getting a very warm or fuzzy vibe off people in this topic...

Anyways, you shouldn't expect to make a lot off of GE merchanting if you're starting with 1.8m.The absolute maximum realistic profit off of immediate resale merchanting is 5% of what you invest, so that's 90k/trade for you. Try to look for items that are traded commonly in low numbers, such as things that are frequently lost, but easy to replace....really hard to advise people without hurting yourself.

Zokot, dont start with me. Its harder to merchanting, he's better off investing. Oh, sorry, is that word to big for you?

Your new here, so I wont flame you endlessly. Before you call someone stupid, and a fool, think!

When you flame someone, prepare to get flamed back.

Edit: I fixed it. That is what I mean, its harder to merchant in F2P.

And thats how you do it fool!

Buying a set of armor for a low price and selling it together for a high price is investing now? Wow, I wish I could redefine words too. That must be cool.

Find something that you can buy and people are in demand for. Search the price list for items that you could possibly merchant with. There are limitless possibilities that you can do. Experiment a 'lil. Buy one of the item for a lower price then try selling that same item back higher.

My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages.
