Any Good PSP Games?

Soooooo, my Dad found a PSP at Logan airport (As he works there for the K-9 unit) and is entitled to claim it since no one has claimed it...So I have this new PSP, one game (Tiger Woods game :? ) and I haven't had a PSP in a good while (Ditched mine when the DS lite came out), and was wondering what games you guys recommend?

Games I'm currently thinking of getting:

Games that are out (That I Want):

Crysis Core: FF7

God of War: Chains of Olympus

Star Wars Battlefront 2

Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron

MGS: Portable Ops

Patapon

MGS Acid 1+2

Future Games:

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep

I'm open to any suggestions. Thanks. :)

Hoping to get a new Signature (with matching avatar) soon. :D

Chains of Olympus is one of the best PSP games. Battlefront 2 was good on PS2, havent played the PSP version but its probably just a port. There's many ports of PS2 games, so if you enjoyed them you might want some for PSP. For future games theres Resistance: Retribution, which is a Resistance game for the PSP. Its like a year away though. Not sure what else is coming up apart form some ports.

Ya, I used to own the PS2 version of Battlefront, and from what I read it's just a remake on the PSP. I've never played Resistance, but I've heard they're good. Also knowing God of War is good helps. Thanks!

Also, I want to ask if anyone might know about good Homebrew for the PSP? And how to put them on the PSP? I'm quite curious, considering the games that can be played on them with Homebrew. :)

Here is my list:

Guilty gear J & XX2 (Epic fighting game)

Legend of heroes (1-3 Fun Rpg with good stories)

Wipeout pulse (Classic sci-fi racing game)

Puzzle quest (Best puzzle game (imo) on the psp)

Yu-gi-oh tagforce 2 (Only if you like the card game itself).

Rengoku 2 (Odd game, hack and slash, ski-fi kinda)

Warriors Orochi (Hack and slah at it's best)

Metal gear ac!d 1 & 2 (turn based mgs game, my favourite).

Flow (Fun easy game).

Naruto narutimate (Japanese, decent fighting game).

About the homebrew part, have you "hacked" your psp? aka, custom firmware or something similar? you could ask me anything as I'm a guru on it (Via pm).

Ah, sounds good...Metal gear Acid, huh? Heard they were bad, then again it was coming from a bunch of Halo addicts...

Thanks. I haven't unlocked the PSP, in fact I haven't done anything to it yet. I might be going to Game Stop in order to get a 4GB memory stick so I can store music and movies (My iPod died, this is my newest MP3 player  ) and photos, grab Crysis Core, and maybe a WiFi adaptor finally. I did download Daedulus N64 Emulator...But how do you unlock the PSP? I guess I'll PM you later unless you post back here.

Thanks again!

Patapon is a pretty cool game. It's a strategy beat style game where depending on what series of drum beats you play, your Patapons will follow through with that action. The game is split up into missions (Over 30) and you can go on hunts and fight the bosses as many times as you like. You create your army with six different classes, but you can only use three at a time. Depending on the class, each individual Patapon can be outfitted with weapons and armor, and you can use rare materials to create some unique Patapons. The game is pretty cheap too, about $15 brand new last time I saw it.

I read about that! And that is pretty cheap, thanks. :P

Anyone play MGS: Portable Ops and found it good? I'm actually curious about that. Also, Final Fantasy 1 & 2 and The War of the Lions?

I've tried Mgs:pops and I didn't like it because of the horrible controlls, some manage to play it anyways though, just don't buy the "+" one as it's only multiplayer.

Final fantasy & Final fantasy 2 are both great games, they are the same as the original ones except the graphics, I used to play them on my gameboy advance and enjoyed them very much. I didn't like tactics much for some reason, a lot of people do though and you could be one of them.

Well "unlocking" your psp is somewhat tricky, I started my hacking at the 1.5 firmware which was very easy to exploit, your probably at 3.90 or higher as you bought your psp quite recently. At that point there is only one solution, the Pandora battery (Jigkick), there are 3 ways to obtain one, you either have a friend with a unlocked psp make one for you (If he can hes probably experienced enough to do it for you), buy a "Datel service mode battery" which is quite expensive (Pretty much ripping you off) or cut of 2 connections in the battery (Will leave the battery in permanent "pandora" unless you veld it back together.

The second thing you need is a MMS (A magic memory stick, a version is known as Despertal Del Cementario (Revive from the dead)), it uses the pandora battery to rewrite the flash files on the psp (Another firmware), there are 3 ways of getting one, either you buy one on ebay (Very common that it's fake), have a friend make it for you or you write one directly from your computer to your memory stick.

I recommend the custom firmware m33 (Latest 4.01 m33), I've used it and it works perfectly.

This combo can not only unlock your psp but restore it from a bricked state as well (Most of the time).

If you need help with the programs for it I could give you the links for it (None of them are copyrighted so I can mention it via pm etc.), it could also be easier for me to help you if you pm me your msn adress (Optional otherwise I can help you via private message).

Also anyone think I should do a official psp thread?

Ah, thanks a lot, that helps! I know someone who can hack it, and I'll PM you later for the links, as right now I'm kinda busy.

Thanks a lot again!

I was thinking of the GTA games, but I'm not the biggest fan...I'll still check 'em out. ;) Otherwise, the other games you listed seem great (kirby? Hells yes.)

@yomyth: Really? Huh. Well, anyway, I was thinking of getting Renegade Squadron more seeing how it's PSP exclusive. Anyone have it and found it enjoyable?

Thanks again guys.
