wassuploe
Hi, i just started playing runescape again. The last time I played was 1.2 years ago. Everything has been completely changed and it's too much for me to understand all at once. My friend can't trade me a rune pickaxe because of the new trade limit. He "lent" me one, so I can start mining coal. My main question is this: can someone please explain the basics I should know about these changes? I've read the updates and stuff but it's just too much information to handle all at once. Also, I'm broke. What would be a good F2P way of making some cash in this new runescape? My stats are: Attack: 70 Str: 66 Def: 63 Range: 60 Prayer: 46 Magic: 60 RuneCrafting: 45 Crafting: 56 Mining: 74 Smithing: 57 Fishing: 68 Cooking: 67 WC: 70 F2P
red_Fat1
I guess mining coal would be your best option Proud Warlord of DragonwoodIf it's natural to kill, how come men have to go into training to learn how? ~ Joan Baez Rest in Peace 3xtermination
Ouchy
First of all, the main updates that happened were: No Wilderness and Free Trade. The Wilderness was replaced with Bounty Hunter and Clan Wars, while the Free Trade was replaced with the Grand Exchange. With your stats', you could easily make a lot of money. I would suggest that you keep borrowing your friends Rune Pickaxe until you have mined enough ore to buy yourself one. Once you have bought one then either mine Gold Ore in the Crafting Guild or mine Coal in the Mining Guild for profit. Another method you can try is cutting Yew Logs. I would be happy to Lend you my Hatchet at any time if you want-cut Yew's behind Varrock Palace or South of Falador, although this method would be more profitable if you had 75+ Wood Cutting. Best of luck on your path to making money. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. Fekambard
Cutting Yews can be quite profitable but it does get very crowded. ;)

My question is this, which do you think is faster, mining gold ore or coal? Coal is priced way less than gold ore. Also, coal has been decreasing in price over the past month: http://itemdb-rs.runescape.com/viewitem.ws?obj=453&scale=1 F2P

Coal Ore is always in demand however, but the profit is not great. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. Ouchy
There is always runecrafting airs, as boring as it is. Buy some essence and craft airs for profit. That is not really great profit per hour, and is very slow. My relaxation method involves a bottle of lotion, beautiful women, and partial nudity. Yes I get massages. No? oh well, dont mine iron then, lol. #-o It kinda makes sense, though. Because iron is worth about half the price of coal. Iron is 100 and coal is 200. And iron can be mined in 1 hit and the ore respawns faster. Am I missing something? F2P
