OldJoe
My first two suggestions are: Download the latest driver from Nvidia here: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us And when choosing graphics details before logging in, turn off AA. If that doesn't work: I currently don't have my computer with an Nvidia card here (getting it back next week), i don't remember how exactly it looks in the Nvidia setting, but it should be similar to the ATI: Right-click the Nvidia icon on your taskbar, 8800gts (or if it says "3d settings" when you right click), 3d settings - Anti-Aliasing, Application managed/off. If that doesn't work, open the Nvidia control panel. Go to "global settings" and somewhere there you should be able to turn off Anti-Aliasing completely. (sorry for the poor explanation, i don't remember the exact directions in the Nvidia control panel) I know some people has had trouble taking screenshots with AA on, on UT04. I know it isn't a problem for every game, but it's worth a try. OldJoe
Hm, you could try downloading a beta-driver or an older driver and see if this helps. You could also try the following, but i'm not sure it will help you: http://www.nhancer.com http://www.nhancer.com/?dat=d_start Another settings manual is this (but for another game, but might try it...) Argh.. Swf was not allowed, so i cannot post the link. HotrodAha
Try downloading UOSU (Ultima Online Screenshot Utility) It could be that paint cant handle the detail level. Try using another photo program if you have one.
OldJoe
Try downloading UOSU (Ultima Online Screenshot Utility) It could be that paint cant handle the detail level. Try using another photo program if you have one. What? I've taken numerous screenshots in the new detail and saved them with paint. I don't it will make any difference using another capturing utility, but it's worth a try a guess. You could also try, if you have the availability: Try another screen and another cable (dvi or vga) and see if it works. OldJoe
If i haven't missed anything... I didn't see it you had tried taking screenshot of another game in fullscreen. So if you haven't tried it, try it. Download a demo of some game and open up fullscreen and take a screenshot if you don't have any games installed/laying around. Would be interesting to see if it's a problem for all games or just RS. (that is, if i haven't missed you mentioning screenshots in another game) Otherwise... I really have no clue, sorry to say. I would suggest contacting Nvidia or the place you bought your computer at with this issue. Just a quick question... Did you try older and beta drivers? D. V. Devnull
Just a theory: Microsoft may be interfering with DRM-based junk in Windows Vista. :-k (At least, this is what things are sounding like to me. I'd like to think I'm wrong on this, but I thought it might help to toss the idea in. The last time I ran into this kind of problem was while dealing with screenshots of DVD and Mpeg videos, and this sounds very similar, like as if an overlay is being used during fullscreen mode on RuneScape. :wall: ...) BTW, I noticed a difference in my settings, as compared to sirlonewolf's ... My "Multi-display/mixed-GPU acceleration" is set to "Multiple display performance mode"... Maybe sirlonewolf should try this on their system? :-s ~Mr. D. V. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.)
Sbrideau
Well, currently being on my vista laptop, I know it's not Vista, I just tried it to see if it was only him having this problem, and it seems it's some software on his computer.
