For melee so far I have:

 

Rune Full helm.

 

Strength Amulet.

 

Rune platebody.

 

Rune platelegs.

 

Fighting boots (Stronghold).

 

Cape? (Currently my questcape..)

 

Rune Weapon.

 

Rune Berserker Shield 100

 

Rune Gauntlets 100

 

Explorer's Ring

 

 

 

For Mage I have:

 

Blue wizard hat

 

Amulet of Power/Mage?

fist of guthix? yes but i dont think its worth it to get the full set and they degrade over time(the f2p set is druidic i think but there is another set) :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

I was thinking about Combat Robes, they degrade just like my shield and gauntlets..

Melee:

 

I personally think power is better than strength, but it's a matter of personal preference.

 

Gauntlets do NOT degrade over time. They only lose their charge if you die with them.

 

You could use them for as long as you like, but as long as you don't die, you're good.

 

 

 

Patson's set seems to be good.

For mage, use ordinary leather gloves/boots. I'd advise a magic ammy, but get a power, and you could wear it for magic/range/meelee.

 

 

 

For meelee, use the SoS Boots, as they are the best.

 

 

 

Also, for range, dont forget arrows-you might want 1 of every type, seeing as addy arrows are expensive. SoS boots also reduce range, so use leather boots.

 

 

 

As for ur cape, use a quest cape. They look hawt

Yeah, that's the right outfit. But with mage use the safety gloves for more defense bonuses and for combat use the fighting boots. Only use the fighting boots for melee because they have negative bonuses to range and magic. And the best F2P weapon is Rune Scimitar. I prefer Amulet of Power over Amulet of Strength because it also gives bonuses to defense.

Meh. I got 15m left so I dont care about addys :P

Strength only has +4 strength over power.

+6 attack in every area

 

+6 def in all areas

 

+1 pray \

i don't recommend sos boots for maging cuse it has a -3 mage bonus and you don't get a lot of mage bonus in f2p... use leather boots instead and rune garns. it only has a -1 mage att and def bonus and its def against melee is like 8 times better than sos boots
