Some Summoning Help Please?

StrikerRay

Recommended Posts

At the moment, I'm at 22 Summoning.

What's the most fast and efficient way to get to level 40?

Or, better yet, level 67? I really need a summoning creature to carry my items (level 40 Bull Ant, level 52 Terrorbird, and level 67 War Tortise).

Any help would be appreciated! ::'

Train slayer until you have enough charms.

Any other method, such as waterfeinds or rock lobsters, will end up draining your cash away. Though, if you train slayer the monster drops will pay for the shards/seconds.

waterfiends dont really drain cash that much unless you don't have much to start with.

If you're losing cash at waterfiends, you are doing it wrong. I tend to make enough between waterfiends and MTK that training summoning doesn't end up reducing my net worth over time much. They have ridiculously good drops- pick up those noted water orbs and snape grass, and the mithril arrows and watermelon seeds. Alch the rune meds. I even make a significant profit ranging them with broad bolts, which costs more.

Agreed, except for the bit abou ranging them. I've never personally tried it, but with the time it takes to get the distances and what not(if safespotting) and the reduced rate at which you do damage, it seems a LOT slower.

What's there to not agree on? My statement was that I make a significant profit killing them. It is slower, but that doesn't mean I don't make a profit. There's no arguable point there, just a fact.

The reason I range them is because I maxed out my melees.

You break even with diamond (e)

With 99 range, diamond (e), eagle eye and void, i can get crimsons very fast

We're going dangerously off topic, but I'd try using broad bolts for a run and see if you don't like them better. I used diamond and was thoroughly unimpressed by how little edge they had over broad bolts, for costing 10x as much. They did MAYBE 10% faster damage. Not worth it in my opinion.
