its quite nice, but something did grab my eye:

 

 

 

the shadows arent right, the person on the left has his left side shaded heavily, yet, the person on the right seems to have no (well, maybe a little) shadow cast on him or by him. (I'm presuming the light source is top right)

i noticed that too, no shadows :?

Should've mentioned that earlier. The sword is an extra lightsource, and Shai-var have an innate racial ability to absorb small amounts of light around themselves, causing most of their shadows to form in every direction, even against the light.

I like the character but since his cape is light compared to the BG, maybe a lighter BG.
