Verac vs Abyssal Whip+Shield at Bandos Soloing

Featured Replies

I am 99 STR,ATT,DEF and HP (+81 prayer). Combat 133: Summon 74.

My question is, Verac or Whip (+shield) at Bandos boss?

Remember boss has bad hits occasionally where he hits low or nothing, so have that in mind when you reply to this please.

Veracs

Advantages

- Provide great defense

- Provide great prayer bonus

- Ignores armor/defence level - Good and reliable, and often the boss don't hit you and you hit him. With maxed mele it should do 10+ hits often?

Disadvantages

- Slow

- less defense (No shield)

Abyssal Whip+Shield

Advantages

- Fast

- More defense (Shield)

- Whip known as a accurate weapon

Disadvantages

- Lots 0s

Which should i use???? I wanna use Verac, but i am not sure. Verac =Reliable....

You'll get smacked around by the mage general in Veracs... but whip will take you alot longer to kill. Its a standard risk vs. reward situation. Don't forget protect item prayer if you decide to use veracs.

If you're using a Dragonfire Shield, than Whip+ DFS.. If not, just Full Verac's.

I dont think veracs is a good idea for soloing. Torags is much better for this if you use a whip with any decent shield (obby up). I personally would use the whip set up. Its better def and accurate not to mention speed wise its fast making up for the zeros.
