K, so atm i've been fishing alot and I've came up with 33m. I want to go for 70-80 slayer as a side goal along with fishing so i wanted to know what things i should buy to get the best experience all around. I've been thinking of bandos armour, I've also thought of guthans with a dragon fire sheild and whip. I just can't decide on what to buy and how to train my slayer level most effectively.

Bunyip, torags, super sets, whip and defender.

I love using guthans for slayer, because you don't need food. You'll also want a black mask if you don't already have one and a whip.

Guthans, DFS and whip would definitely be awesome for training slayer. Bandos is more for when you're done buying all the other cool stuff you want- it isn't very practical. I wuv my Bandos though.

thanks for the replies guys. I'm leaning towards dfs for sure. Only thing im worried of about it is people reporting a bug with it disapearing. Is that just rumours or was that a real glitch.

Just use a defender, has an attack bonus and to make up for the def of the dfs bring 5 lobsters/task.

your dead set against dfs arent you toast :wall: I owned a bgs afew days ago but wasnt real impressed with the experience values it gave me. So i dont really want a god sword. Also I'm looking for a combination of the best experience and the most cost friendly gear. So I don't have to spend money on slayer, but make money ;)

SGS and BGS aren't even comparable. For those with a lot of money, SGS is SO worth it, by FAR the best thing to slay with. You see, even though the whip might perform comparably, IT doesn't give free prayer points. Free prayer = free piety = WAY faster kills.

No need to worry about the sgs green, im like 25-30m off of even thinking of buying one of them.

It also has the best defense in the game, including magic defense. And, you know, there's the whole usable-against-dragons thing. Basically the ultimate slayer shield.

thats roughly 25.9m that leaves me 7100k, for armour, what are my best options for armour.

Also is guthans even needed after i get 68 summon? Im nearly 64 summon atm so i should get that level after training slayer for abit. As for the fury I dont think i can afford it after i buy armour.

Some tasks still need Guthan's if you try to melee them without prayer, like black demons. If you're willing to do workarounds for them, though, you could probably squeak by without Guthan's.

89+ summoning - Guthans required, you'll be using a combat familiar, it helps too much...

 

 

 

DFS - Eh, 70-80 slayer isn't much... as long as you have a bunyip, either is fine really. I would just stick with the rune defender and use a bunyip. Until 89+ summoning, stick with the defender, bunyip will negate any need for defence. (Unless we're talking about the torso. Which just... sucks.)

 

 

 

Veracs skirt - Best legs in the game

 

 

 

Dharok/torag/guthan plate - Defence, although a Bandos could replace it. Pretty insignificant though.

Personally I HATE using a cannon. It's so annoying.

I dont have a buniyip yet im only 63 summoning. So im going to go with guthans till i get one and test out the buniyip. As for the cannon, I don't want to use one as it would cut into my costs for doing slayer. I'd rather just melee my tasks and not worry about the costs of a cannon. Im only going for 85 slayer at the most. Most likely just 70-80.
