August 5, 200817 yr Welcome to F2P Moneymaking! Ever wanted to make money while also earning some experience in some of the less popular to train skills? Here is an efficient way to train Mining and Runecrafting (and a little Magic) while making some cash too! Levels needed: 41 Mining (40 Mining also works but goes much better with Rune Pickaxe) 37 Magic 40 Crafting (to get into the Crafting guild) Quests needed: Rune Mysteries Items needed: Rune pickaxe (Adamant pickaxe works too but is not efficient) Brown apron Air tiara Staff of water Law runes Rune essence Optional: Explorer's Ring to recharge run energy. Runecrafting levels in multiples of 11 (11, 22, 33, 44 and so on) to get more runes per essence. Air runecrafting gloves double your experience gained per rune essence crafted into air runes. For Members: Penance gloves, boots of lightness, and spotted/spottier capes can reduce your weight to save run energy. Higher Agility levels will help you regain run energy faster. 54 Runecrafting to make your own law runes. Steps: 1. Go to the Falador West Bank. 2. Withdraw all the items needed except for the rune essence. 3. Equip the staff of water, brown apron, and air tiara. Leave the law runes and rune pickaxe in your inventory, and turn Run on. 4. Withdraw 26 rune essence. 5. Run to the air crafting altar, south of Falador and craft your 26 rune essence into air runes. (Runecrafting experience.) 6. Run to the crafting guild and mine 25 gold. (Mining experience.) 7. Teleport to Falador using your Staff of water, Law runes, and the Air runes that you crafted. (Magic experience.) 8. Turn off Run (to save run energy) and walk to the Falador West Bank and bank your gold and remaining air runes. 9. Turn Run back on and repeat from step 4. 10. When you are out of rune essence or law runes, sell your gold ore and air runes and buy some more rune essence and law runes if you wish to repeat. This is the equipment I wear. These are the before and after inventories. *Note: Amulet is not necessary, but does not weigh you down. **Note: Amount of Air runes is from level 44 Runecrafting and after the teleport. Either silver or gold can be mined, this picture shows gold. Blue circle is teleport location, and blue line is teleport path. Gold is bank, white is air Runecrafting altar, brown is mining, and red is the path you should take. The rewards: Gold ore is about 500 gp each, so you make 12.5k per trip on gold ores! Air runes are about 15 gp each, depending on your level, you make 390 gp to 3.9k per trip on air runes! Gold ores give 65 mining exp per ore so you get 1,625 mining exp per trip! Air runes give 5 exp per ESSENCE crafted, so you get 130 runecrafting exp per trip, or 260 exp with Air runecrafting gloves! Falador teleports give 48 magic exp per teleport! Total reward per trip: 12,890-16,400 gp 1,625 Mining experience 130-260 Runecrafting experience 48 Magic experience It is worth mentioning that you will have to spend around 1.4k gp per trip on law runes and rune essence if you do not craft or mine your own. It took me about 8 minutes per trip at level 50 Mining, so that's about 7.5 trips per hour or about 97.5k per hour. Also remember that you do get valuable experience while using this method. You also get about 12.2k Mining experience per hour, 975 Runecrafting experience per hour (without Air runecrafting gloves), and 360 Magic experience per hour. ^I know, it's a horrible picture. *Note: Remember, you can use your Explorer's Ring (if you have it) to recharge your run energy! Also, to conserve run energy, do not wear any armor that would weigh you down! **Note: You can mine your own rune essence to make even more money and mining experience! For members, if you mine pure essence, sell it and buy rune essence to make the air runes. Members can also craft their own law runes to make even more money and runecrafting experience! (It is suggested that if you have the money, buy the rune essence because mining it is not efficient.) ***Note: The rocks respawn faster on a world with more people in it. Also, if there is too much competition for the gold, you can mine the silver. It will cut down profits, but speed up the experience. This is my first guide, so constructive criticism would be helpful! Thanks! :) Oh yeah, and please don't steal this guide without giving me credit because it took me hours to make! Thanks!
August 5, 200817 yr Author Updates worth taking note of: Guide written. Added hourly income rates. Added hourly experience rates. Added that you need 40 Crafting #-ocan't believe I forgot it! Added an introduction. Added map. Added inventory and equipment pictures.
August 5, 200817 yr Out of all fairness, you DID bump your topic waaaaaay too many times. I agree, gold ore is a GREAT way for newer players to make money, but there are also much better ways to make money f2p. 3/10 You might want to put xp per hour and gold gained per hour. There is no way to make "Millions fast and easy"... SO QUIT ASKING ABOUT IT!
August 5, 200817 yr you should add that until you get 22 rc you LOSE money off of rcing airs 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
August 6, 200817 yr Author I thought about doing that, but I just figured that you would still make a profit off of it in the long run and the experience you gained per run would get you to 22 eventually.
August 6, 200817 yr Give him a break. He put quite a bit of effort into this and earnestly thought it would have helped a lot of people. You've got some solid ideas, and quite frankly, it does offer a good combination of skilling opportunities. However as mentioned, there are many more ways to gain money in F2P, mainly mining, lob/sword fishing, etc. Also, I personally would prefer to power level each skill individually by mining coal/iron, air crafting on World 16, and playing FoG to raise magic. I really do like your picture though  As for you bumping, I fully understand your want to bring attention to your topic. I was personally afraid that my F2P Banking Guide would slip away from interest, despite my efforts. (EVERYONE GO THERE NOW AND ADVERTISE IT IN YOUR SIG PLEASE. Lol. But seriously, go now and post. ^_^) Like I mentioned, I understand your effort and I commend you for it and your want for replies. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
August 6, 200817 yr I had no clue what the guide was about until after the fake picture. Perhaps you could add an introduction? Might as well do some time of format. I hate reading unorganized guides. Your First line indicates this is about money making alone. and tbh, your method is a very bad way to make money. You are making less then 100k per hour. I made 400k on an account with 50 mining in 93 minutes mining gold and fally teleing to bank it. 5.4/10 for method and structure. [hide=Things I think you should change]Steps: 1. Go to the Falador West Bank. 2. Withdraw all the items needed except for the rune essence. 3. Equip the staff of water, brown apron, and air tiara. Leave the law runes and rune pickaxe in your inventory, and turn Run on. 4. Withdraw 26 rune essence 5. You should really add more pictures. Also, use the world map in game to make a over view of the areas in which you will be traveling.Remember, people like pictures =p[/hide] ~~bballer [software Engineer] - [Ability Bar Suggestion] - [Gaming Enthusiast]
August 6, 200817 yr What about running airs on world 16? You'd lose the runecrafting xp, but you'd get a lot more money per trip (assuming your rc level isn't high). Dunno if gold mining on world 16 is viable, though. What I like about air crafting is that there are a few options for what to train in the same run. There's also the possibility of yew cutting, buying eyes of newt from port sarim rune store (might be nerfed now), mining iron in the rimmy mine (not a bad idea for lv 30 miners with addy picks), and perhaps even killing cows for cowhides. With this method you make 97.5k gp and 12k mining exp an hour. Mining rune ess (for f2p) gives... what, 30k gp and 5k mining exp an hour? Don't suggest rune ess mining, because it isn't worth it. (For p2p with high pure ess prices, it's a different story) "The best defence is to stay out of range" - French proverbBad luck happens. Learn and get over it.
August 6, 200817 yr Author I made 400k on an account with 50 mining in 93 minutes mining gold and fally teleing to bank it. Well that is strange. This is basically what you are doing, except that you are crafting runes at the altar along the way, which should yield more profit for people with decent Runecrafting levels. (not a bad idea for lv 30 miners with addy picks) Too bad they can't use them! :P Anyway, thanks Sinkhan. I usually get bored waiting for lobsters to appear in my inventory so compared to that, this is a little more exciting (to me). I added an introduction, but I can't exactly figure out what a better format would be.
August 6, 200817 yr Ok guide. But isn't it better to teleport to Lumbridge, bank, then explorer ring to the Cabbage Port? It saves a bit of running, although you get less magic xp. You should also note that people who do not have 40 mining can mine clay and silver at the guild as alternatives. Clay, actaully, is A LOT better to mine than gold. Clay is instant mine if you have a good mining level (30ish) while gold will take quite a bit. At 86 mining I still can't get gold too fast. Clay sells for about 80gp each (from memory, might have changed) and is nearly an INSTANT respawn. So you get more profit, less time used, and the only trade-off is less xp. Although since your trips will be up to 5x quicker you might be able to match the xp from gold. ~It's Super Effective! August 6, 200817 yr Very good guide, like others have said just clean it up a bit and post some pictures. :D
August 6, 200817 yr Author I did note that you could mine silver at the guild, and I will post a map and the inventories you should have soon.
August 6, 200817 yr i suggest that you should get a pic of your equipment With an explorer ring 3 since it will speed things up much more since its an extra charge per day 1100 total achieved 03/02/09 880thousandth to reach it :P1200 total achieved 29/09/11 1.23millionth to reach it :P
August 7, 200817 yr Author I really should complete the Lumbridge Achievement Diary, but haven't gotten around to. When I do, I'll update it.
August 7, 200817 yr I finished it in about 30 mins on the day of release lol. It's really not all that difficult. Something to fill my sig with until I find a replacement. Also check out my blug
August 8, 200817 yr Author I did the Beginner and Easy ones now, but can't do the Intermediate because I can't do Dragon Slayer.
August 9, 200817 yr I did the Beginner and Easy ones now, but can't do the Intermediate because I can't do Dragon Slayer. You only need to start it i think. Also, i can see where you're going with the fally teling thing, but imo, just use the cabbage tele if you ahve the ring. Also, instead of gonig to the craft guild, you can also go to rimmy yews, for wc.
August 9, 200817 yr Author You could, but gold ores sell for about the same price (maybe more?) as yews while only taking 41 Mining to use the Rune pickaxe (40 Mining also works but then you have to use Adamant pickaxe). Yew trees, however, take 60 Woodcutting. Your choice on whatever you want to do, though. :)
