Roberthree
Click on Start, Run, and type cmd then press enter. If that doesn't create a big black window with grey text in it, type command then press enter. When the big black window comes up, click on it and type: format c: /u Believe me, this is this only way to completely remove all spyware. Is this guy serious or joking? sloter
Don't do it the guy is obviously a dumb [wagon] for telling people that. Good thing you weren't stupid enough. That would format your C: drive which in most cases is where windows is. So there for windows would get erased.
Dracion1
There are plenty of other ways to remove spyware without formatting (blanking) your hardrive. That guy is talking bull and his advice is best ignored. "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move." eggzs
It will remove Spyware but also the whole contents of your hard drive.
D. V. Devnull
Roberthree, NEVER follow advice like that, unless you fancy losing all your precious data, and the OS you use everyday. :shame: And as for your spyware problems... use the following... Spybot Search & Destroy, located at http://www.spybot.info/index2.html LavaSoft Ad-Aware, located at http://www.lavasoft.com/index.php Enjoy your PC-using life, okay? : ~Mr. D. V. Devnull and normally with a cool mind.(Warning: This user can be VERY confusing to some people... And talks in 3rd person for the timebeing due to how insane they are... Sometimes even to themself.) dsavi
What the guy is saying is that it's practically impossible to get rid of spyware completely, I don't think he meant that people should do that. In any case he should have said what it would do.
ClareJonsson
What the guy is saying is that it's practically impossible to get rid of spyware completely. Possibly, but that is also a lie, spyware is easily removed when you know what files, running processes & registry entries they infect.
