pulli23
Well I'm searching for a few good spots for yews/magic trees.. thinking about catherby and lletya.. However are there better places? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. Dr_Locust
Those were the two spots that I was about to recommend. There's also Mezlar's Maze, with a few yews there. If you did the Rocking Out quest, you'll earn a deposit box in Rimmington. Not too far away! :P Dr Locust <-- Click for my blog...+2000 Total, PhD in Questing, Woodcutting, Agility, Thieving, and Firemaking
green9090
If you do Spirit of Summer and Desert Treasure, have 82 woodcutting, and aren't terribly afraid of revenants, there's a good magic tree unlocked during that quest. Cast the teleport to the abandoned village in the Wilderness (I think it's Dareeyak) and use the portal (don't forget your ring). Cut the cursed tree in there until it falls, and then teleport out using the portal. All your logs turn to normal magic logs, and there is a magic tree there to cut. After it falls, the cursed one through the portal will regrow, and so forth. Never have to worry about waiting for spawns. Revenents never appear in the portal, so if one attacks you try to duck in there before you get teleblocked and then you can change worlds. The cursed tree gives an extra 25 exp per log as well. That said, I really suggest cutting yews. I'm pretty sure they're faster for both money and exp. Sam
Tree Gnome Stronghold is where cut - trees are in close proximity to a bank. I'm sure Yews are faster money & exp though. 2257AD.TUMBLR.COM
pulli23
well I used both melzar's maze and that new magic tree already: I just want to compare them to the "old" methods.. but do you say there's a teleport directly to the ruins? - it's on ancients isn't it? First they came to fishingand I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing Then they came to the yewsand I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews Then they came for the oresand I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores Then they came for meand there was no one left to speak out for me. ultimatballr
I did 3k mage logs in Lleyta. Thats the best spot for those if you ask me. Make sure you have a stack of tiny elf crystals though. Apparently, my signature was to big.

I'll try that later today! am now cutting at melzar's (together with the deposit box in rimmington it seems a good option): the only problem is that 4 yew trees are too few, often all 4 are down..
