ipkjooo
This is the first vector signature I've ever worked on/compelted C/C =
baalboy5
the purple shadow underneath the guy is the only problem I see. looks great, whats a vector? Don't you know the first rule of MMO's? Anyone higher level than you has no life, and anyone lower than you is a noob. People in OT eat glass when they are bored.
Shiny
A vector is something that can be scaled infinitely. Dementedhero's stuff is vector methinks.
Jopie211
It looks good, but I'm pretty sure it isn't a real vector signature. It has a vector look, that's for sure, but if you made it using brushes or things like drop shadows, it isn't vector work because those different elements can't be scaled infinitely. Nevertheless, I quite like it. pixel avvy by me deviantART
DementedHero
Looks like vector-look-a-like brushes to me. Jopie, you can scale dropshadows in Illustrator. It jus recalculates after resizing. But that's not the point xD The point is this most likely isn't really vector. It looks like the vectorlike brushes that you can download everywhere. Jopie211
^ Yeah I knew about the drop shadows, but I think the OP made the signature in PS or Gimp, so no resizeable drop shadows/gradients there. pixel avvy by me deviantART
ThruItAll
Aint vector caus its arrow at the back is LQ. Its a render with vector brushes. danke Schon Sam!^^"Blood runs thicker, oh were thick as thieves you know"-Carl Barât
dsavi
All this could be made in vector, whenever I do a drop shadow in Inkscape I just duplicate the thing I want the drop shadow of, turn all colors to black and blur it to about 3%.
DementedHero
Sure, it could be made in vector. Thats probably what the original artist of the brushes did, made em in vector, then exported em as brushes, which now are used by every kid and their grandma when starting out. ipkjooo
So is it good or bad ... I don't really understand what was wrong using vector brushes?
Jopie211
^ There's not a lot wrong with using the brushes, but our point is that it isn't a vector signature. pixel avvy by me deviantART
ipkjooo
Then I must have the wrong definition of vector, care to explain it better to me?

Vector Uses mathematic principles to create curves and lines which can be coloured etc. Is infinitely scalable, you can zoom in 6000% with no quality loss. Bitmap programs would just show the pixels it consists of. From the Gallery Dictionary. pixel avvy by me deviantART

Jopie211
^ Aren't pentool paths you create in Gimp or Photoshop infinitely scalable though? pixel avvy by me deviantART

dsavi
Yeah, GIMP has a path option in the scale tool. Not only that, but you can export paths as SVGs.
