Need help with Fishing

So I wanna get my fishing up to 70 soon so that in the long run it will be easier to level it.

Before i do that I wanna know what the best fish to... fish are. I dont really need money so that would be secondary but cooking exp would be nice. And i have done Shilo Village so if just doing salmon there is good then tell me.

And if possible (not trying to ask for too much jsut guesstimate) what are the exp rates/hour in any given location...

At level 60, you could get maybe about 40k exp/hr if you fly fished. Heavy rod fishing is a possibility, but it's mostly untested (as far as I know) below 70 fishing, so you'd have to see for yourself. After 62 I recommend monkfish until 70; they're the most efficient method for those levels.

I have to agree that fly fishing is the fastest way. Look into your sommoning level. You might be able to get an ibis or granite lobster to help you get some extra fishing experience while you fish. Between 65-68 I would recommend switching to monks. You will level a little bit slower, but your profit will tremendously increase.

Level 60 fishing is untested for exp per hour. A level 81 would be VERY lucky to get 40k in an hour. Average exp per hour from levels 81-91 is 37,500/H.

I wouldn't fish monkfish at level 62, just keep fly fishing. The only reason to fish monks at that level is if you need money, so just stick in Shio.
