F2P RC Guild - Are teletabs worthwhile ?

I do not like the minigame but I would do anything to increase the xp rate for runecrafting in f2p. The teletabs are therefore of considerable interest to me. However I have been doing a bit of arithmetic and cannot see whether there is value in them or not.

 

 

 

Firstly I have based my calculations on the following premises:-

 

 

 

1. When runecrafting earths and using Varrock teleport to return from altar the average time per complete run (Including sprinting whenever available) is 1 min and 45 secs ( This figure is very accurate).

 

2. The total tokens won in one hour is equal to half of the amount available to win. ie I am expecting over time that everyone will win and lose at an equal rate. This premise is based on the fact that unless people go in as teams then you can never guarantee a win.

 

3. The time for a single game is 15 minutes. This includes getting to Wizards tower and waiting for game to start.

 

4. You win 375 tokens per game (see premise 2) ie 4 x 375 = 1500 per hour

 

5. 1500 tokens = 50 earth teletabs

 

 

 

In one hour crafting earth tiaras in F2P you make approx 13k xp. However if you use teletabs each run is approx 35 seconds faster so you would get 19.5k xp per hour using your 50 teletabs. This means that in two hours of tiara crafting without teletabs you get 26k xp and in two hours of getting tabs and crafting you only get 19.5k xp. Even if you add on the extra xp you get crafting runes during the game at 500 xp per game = 2k you still end up losing.

 

 

 

Please help and let me know the flaws in this argument!! Please criticize constructively and correct any assumptions I have made.

Wel worked out. I would actually go wiyh getting the earth tabs, but instead of teleporting to varrock ill use the explorers ring and tele to draynor(this gives 3extra spots for rune ess)

 

the tiara crafting option might sound handsome because of the exp you get extra, but this is were money comes in. Are you willing to loose all the money you spend on the tiaras( they dont sell at all) or would you rather take 10minutes extra and make a few K?

Money is no object. I have plenty but this topic is about fastest xp. I really need help on the rates of xp during the game and also whether I have estimated the tokens correctly and game time.

 

In fact what I would do is craft body tiaras and teleport back to Varrock then teletab to body altar with 12 talismen, 12 tiaras, laws, fires, teletabs and wield an air staff.

 

 

 

Edit - Magicmagicy pointed out correctly that it would be better to teleport to Falador and walk to the West bank.

Wel i think you estimated the tokens wrong, maybe its just luck idk, but when playing on the yellow team ive never lost, the one 3 times i played green however i lost. i think if you play yellow team all the time your succes rat would be about 8 out of 10. this being said you will gain a bit more tokens in a hout, meaning you will get even more exp per hout runecrafting

the number of tokens u get per round depends on how many points your team gets and whether your team wins overall or not...i've gotten up to 800+ tokens in a single game where we totally owned the other team XD so if you continually have a superb team the tokens rate will increase tremendously...play with a group of expert friends ;)

You can actually increase that number.

 

Instead of teleing to varrock, tele to falador.

 

The walk from center of varrock to varrock east bank is much farther than falador center to its west bank. Should cut down at least 2-3 seconds per run.

Also another thing to consider.

 

Try finding the average time while using those tabs. Then, you can figure out the minimum number of tokens needed to break even without the teletabs. THen you will know if it is plausible.

 

Since 750 is the max for f2p, you will have a max of 3k per hour. I would say that if you need less than 2300, you will have a chance at breaking even and the extra xp might put you over the top.

 

 

 

(PS: When you are calculating the average run time, make sure it is weighted correctly)
