curmudgeony
I own ahrims and torags. I'm considering veracs, b/c of a decent prayer bonus. Also I'm aware of the set effects: Attacks have a chance of ignoring any armour and prayers, causing potential heavy damage. Now in terms of what I've read, this is key in areas such as Duel Arena, Fight Pits, and the Kalphite Queen. But what about day to day slayer / training. Does it have any advantages that make it a better choice to switch to instead of keeping the torags I'm already with?
Dire_Wolf
It is not good for training. The verac set is best only at Duel arena/Bosses. As for Torags set= if your using it for Slayer= THAT STINKS! Torag= Leg+plate+ helm=great def Verac= Same + great prayer So i would not use Verac set/Torag Set for any training or slayer
curmudgeony
So i would not use Verac set/Torag Set for any training or slayer what barrows level set (apart from guthans) would you suggest for slayer? However, if guthans is the only suggestion; it is okay to mention it.
atronic92
Guthans is not the only option! Torags, Veracs, and Dharoks are all perfectly good for slayer. Remember: you only get the set effect when you wear the whole set of armor and the weapon, which is not going to be often. You don't need to worry about the set effect because most likely you will only wear the body and legs of the barrows armor, because you should be able to get a helmet that gives strength bonus (berserker helmet, helm of neitiznot) and you should always use a better weapon (whip+rune defender, d scim+rune defender, saradomin sword). Torag, dharok, and guthan all have the same stats for the body and legs. Verac's body has lower defenses, but not by enough to make much of a difference, but gives a prayer bonus. Verac's skirt is the same as torag, dharok, and guthan legs, but it gives a prayer bonus and has slightly lower range defense. Guthans is only better than torags, dharoks, or veracs when you want to use it's healing effect. In that case, remember that you need the helm, body, legs, and spear of Guthan. as for switching to veracs, you dont need to. If you get all 80's melee veracs is good for meleeing barrows (with super set) though. "We will certainly not be gaining money or members with this update. Torag is most economical to buy (altho try getting torag legs and Guthan body- Guthan body is cheap!). If you are not going to use prayer advantage don't bother with verac's set, altho its quite usful in my oppinion. Dharok set is least usful, most people use it for training strength at monkey prayer altar for example... also places where they use protection prayer I highly disagree at point where some 1 said Torag isn't good for slayer. If you ask me its best for slayer if you don't use Guthans (Because Veracs only works better on high lvl monsters like Bosses,it doesnt make much diffrence at regular monsters) zzZZ [- Glory From Beyond -]ZZzz

They're irritating, and if you try to make us read it because it's important, that doesn't work. I often just skip the parts that are written in some screaming kind of underlined font 6 text. Not off topic. However you have no right to post such oppinion on my font/colours because they are premited by forum rules, and they don't break any existing rule (other than that they are not annoying for reason they are in line with other letters, just diffrent colour, not supprisingly big to have spam role by any chance). Im sory, but my reply is highly-in-topic line, but your just isn't. I won't go inito further discussion about this,as I disagree with any kind of flaming, even ones like this, premited on intelectual level, theres no point of doing it at all Back to topic, once again. Guthan = Best but most expensive. Verac and Dharok after . Torag is nice substitution because its cheapest zzZZ [- Glory From Beyond -]ZZzz
mitochondrion
no, it is annoying. i'd keep a set of verac's knocking about for the KQ if you do that often. pretty useless for slayer though.
jakelegend0
Veracs as for slayer/training is at most mediocre in my opinion. Personally I would only use the v skirt for the prayer bonus and pick up items neitz helm (though if your doing slayer you should have black mask), fighter torso and obviously whip or d scim along with rune defender shield piece. I would suggest guthans for healing unless your 68 summon then bunyip is okay. Just my opinion. Too lazy to have a cool sig. So I therefore spam you with boring stat sigs
