August 20, 200817 yr Alright, I've been looking at a number of Fight Caves guides, and I'm getting some conflicting advice. So, I have a few questions... [hide=Starting the fight]When Jad first spawns and you can't see him, which prayer should you be using? As far as I can tell, neither the mage nor ranged attack has a distinctive sound before it's activated, so does that mean there's a 50% chance of death?[/hide] [hide=During the fight]Does it make sense to just keep my prayer on mage, unless Jad stomps to start his ranged attack? The only decent indication that he's about to do a mage attack is when the ball appears on his back, before he shoots it out. Will that be enough, or should I keep the prayer on mage by default?[/hide] [hide=Setup]My outfit will be: Verac's helmet Amulet of fury Ava's accumulator 2k broad-tipped bolts (I'm cheap) Rune crossbow Karil's leathertop Unholy book Armadyl plateskirt Barrow gloves Snakeskin boots Archers ring Now, because I've lost a lot of defensive power by swapping verac's skirt with the armadyl skirt (which means that I gain +27 ranged and lose -1 prayer), the 90s are going to hurt a lot. Should I bring a granite shield to save a few Sara brew doses? I've got a spare inventory spot anyway. Also, should I fork out a few extra coins for better bolts, if I either run out or decide to use them on Jad? Last attempt I used ruby bolts(e) and they worked quite well on Jad. But then, I didn't healers attacking me. Oh, and does the accumulator work with broad bolts?[/hide] Thanks for the help.

August 20, 200817 yr I'm not entirely sure but after the jad graphics update I think he always spawns behind Italy, if someone could confirm this. Incase he doesn't: You want to put range pray on behind italy, have auto retaliate on so if he doesn't spawn behind Italy you can locate him out,if you hear the mage attack which sounds like an explosion or the retribution pray when someone dies put the mage pray on then once the attack hit switch back to range until your next to him and can see. The reason for this is that if you put the range pray on once you hear the range attack it will still hit. If hes behind italy when the healers spawn, you will want to attack each of them once between switching prays with Jad until they are all focused on you, then run back to were you started infront of italy put on protect melee and kill the lil buggers. Go back and continue killing Jad. If hes not behind italy you'l have to tank them, attack each of them once, a couple may get stuck behind him so you won't have to worry but at least 1 or 2 will attack you, put on steel skin and continue attacking jad until he is dead. When facing him I usually go by the sound for his mage attack and sight for the range attack since you'l hear the sound before the animation for the mage attack. also remember to keep potted and you should be fine.
