August 22, 200817 yr I'm working on getting all my skills to 80, and am not 100% sure on how to do these. I excluded skills I don't have to 80 yet that I already know exactly how to do (80 agility and firemaking are not hard to figure out, for example). 77/80 crafting- This one I'm least sure on. I was thinking emerald or ruby bracelets. Any insight on good crafting training methods for me? 74/80 herblore- I was thinking prayer pots or ranged pots, after checking into prices. Anyone got a good potion for lowish cost/exp? 72/80 construction- Oak larders right? Anything better than that? Flatpacks that sell, etc? 75/80 smithing- I was going to use the blast furnace to make mith bolts, that's still the best right? Thanks to anyone who lends their insight. Emerald loses alot less cash than ruby last time I checked. 74/80 herblore- I was thinking prayer pots or ranged pots, after checking into prices. Anyone got a good potion for lowish cost/exp? I keep hearing prayer, but I would stick to restores if you want to level fast. 72/80 construction- Oak larders right? Anything better than that? Flatpacks that sell, etc? Nope. 75/80 smithing- I was going to use the blast furnace to make mith bolts, that's still the best right? Never was the best. I'd personally do gold bars unless your that low on cash, or you don't like spending. Thanks to anyone who lends their insight. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]
August 23, 200817 yr well ruby bracelets would be good if you did your simithing firstsince you would already have the gold bars, u can make serum207 or something for xp if u dont mind losing money and as for construction i know almost nothing
August 23, 200817 yr Crafting - Green (<- perfect for you, even matches your name) d'hide bodies or bracelets, whatever bracelet loses your the least gp/xp. Herblore - I personally make ranged potions, I want farming xp so I plant dwarf weeds. I know I would probably better better off farming snaps, but idc. I'd go with super restores. Con - Oak dungeon doors (74 construction) need 10 oak planks, so they should be slightly faster than larders. I heard it's harder to have your butler close to you though. Smithing - Gold bars/addy bolts/superheating bars, whatever loses you the least gp/xp.
August 28, 200817 yr 77/80 crafting- This one I'm least sure on. I was thinking emerald or ruby bracelets. Any insight on good crafting training methods for me? Apparently the best way to train this is by crafting green dragonhides for those who don't mind spending loads of money on it and making battlestaves for those who are a bit short on cash. To be sure, here's the full guide I read: Zybez Guide to Crafting 74/80 herblore- I was thinking prayer pots or ranged pots, after checking into prices. Anyone got a good potion for lowish cost/exp? Oh darned it. I really have no idea for this, but you could check the guides written for this on the Zybez or Tip.It website. Here's a link: Zybez Guide to Herblore 72/80 construction- Oak larders right? Anything better than that? Flatpacks that sell, etc? Oo, love this skill. Oak larders are okay until 74 construction. Flatpacks are a big no no though, remember that. At 74 Construction, make and remove oak dungeon doors with your butler grabbing planks from the bank as you go. Check my thread in my siggy for a detailed explanation of how. 75/80 smithing- I was going to use the blast furnace to make mith bolts, that's still the best right? If you have completed the Family Crest Quest and have the goldsmith gauntlets than smith gold. I'm not fully sure on this, but it goes at a blazing fast speed and doesn't need any coal. The only downside is you loose about 250 or 300 gp every bar you smith, depending on how much you buy the material for. Here's the guide on how exactly to do it: Zybez Guide to Smithing Click Here for my RSOF 99 Construction G&A thread! Post your support!
August 28, 200817 yr I'm kinda in the same boat as I want all my skills 80+ Luckily I have 2 of the ones you want 80, 80 already! However my Crafting was 80 a while ago. Using Lunar magic I was able to superglass make. Before summoning this made me millions and in the process got me a nice lot of crafting XP. This method still works, but with prices increased the profit isn't as much anymore. Herblore I just stuck my MTK on herbs. Then every once in a while made a load of potions en-mass buying vials and seconds from the GE. Sell most of the pots on the GE. Made a little bit of cash this way as I write off the 525k each week for MTK. Harralander tar is another great way as tar stacks. Just take loads to Chaos Druids with a pestle and mortar and make tar as you kill, people drop harrlanders often so make use of those too. Smithing is high on my list to get to 80. Gold is the best way with the gauntlets. I am looking into which item to make with the resulting gold bars. Alchers buy bracelets/ammys so if you have a stash of gems you can get bonus crafting XP and still break even/make minimal loss. Construction is a money pit. I leave mine as my TOG skill. For 80 I would go with Oak Larders or Dungeon Doors for the cheapest way. I advise leaving it to the last skill though and whacking all your genie, tomes, tog etc. on it. Trust the Gene Genie!
August 28, 200817 yr For crafting consider emerald necklaces. If you are willing to get rid of the emerald necklaces via junk trades such as lending out your GS or something, you can make a bit of money. Last time I checked you make about 2.3gp per exp using this method.
