September 1, 200817 yr Runecrafting has been very profiting for me. I have been (and still am) a famous runecrafter in the airs world. In the old days I made my money on sellign the airs I made using runners, in this time RC was very profitable for me, and also a good profit for the runners. At this point I am 96 rc, and frankly I only runecraft now using assists gaining 30k xp a day just because this old way of running i banned due to the trade limit update of December. I do admit that with the new minigame I now can make 100k + gp per hour but frankly I do not like the minigames. jagex should be thinking of making runecrafting a less boring skill without making a game of it. I hardly get any joy out of the minigame, only drustration due to the people that don;t know what to do there which make me not get enough tokens.... Anyways I still do think Runecrafting is an underestimated skill and I love it, but I am going to max it now using assists :P (yes i anm too lazy to run them myself ;) )
September 1, 200817 yr Isn't the point of a skill whatever the player decides for himself? If all he wants to RC for is to play a minigame, so be it. If all he wants to RC for is cash, so be it. If all he want to RC for is to create is own runes so he doesn't have to buy them from stores or get them as drops, so be it. There is no real POINT of any skill in runescape, the main idea of runescape is that the player does what the player wants to, not what the creators of the game wanted them to do, it's for this reason that I fell in love with the game in the first place, and i'm sure many others have too. September 1, 200817 yr My theory is that RCing is used to make money, but a more promising opputunity in pure essecnce in the great orb project was a more appealing prospect. It also gives a medium difficulty goal for f2p'ers to get to the 50 RC requirement because of the fact that training RC is just plain BORING (I recently mined 17K rune ess just to get enough for crafting my way to 50RC :D ) Unfairly Banned-Appeal In Process, Its been slow due to the sheer number of them

September 1, 200817 yr The point of a skill is whatever you want it to be :) /agree with this GWD solo drops: Armadyl Hilt sold at 63.5m - (More to come hopefully)
September 1, 200817 yr Im 42 rc and 131 combat, and i am in no rush to level that skill ever. OT: People dont have to see a point in RC to do it... 1593th to 99 Farming - July 08.
September 1, 200817 yr Personally? I think RC was nerfed a long time ago, when the trade limits were put into place. Running deaths with 3 pouches and a familiar now is 15k exp an hour, which is by far the lowest rate among any of the skills. The runecraft minigame, assuming that you're going to get 500 points per game over the long run, isn't any better. Runecraft was dying as a skill, and they tried to rev up interest. It was a decent effort. (As a side note, my suggestion for a RC fix is to give us experience as well as tokens for winning the game, at a rate comparable to other minigames. ^_^)
September 1, 200817 yr If these high-levelled players aiming for 50 gain an understanding or liking of runecrafting just for this minigame then it can't be a bad thing, surely... The mining guild's got a 60+ requirement and that hasn't nerfed the skill, so how is this any different? Maxed 15/06/13
