need help with Slayer assignment

Featured Replies

Hi there guys I just recently got a assignment of 32 iron dragons from sumona. However, this is my first iron dragon assignment and I am unsure on how to combat these. My stats are in my sig and suggestions what to bring and how to kill them would be nice.

My plan was proseltye armor with Slayer Helm. Use super pots and anti fire pot. Then just melee flash until dead.

Your stragegy will work. Maging/Ranging them is more efficient, but seeing as both of those are lower than 70, stick with melee. Use super pots, and drink a second dose before your first one completely runs out.

That's what I'd recommend for you also. Wear prayer bonus armour, and melee pray with prayer pots/anti-fires. I wouldn't recommend prayer-flashing your first time- if you get hit by accident too much it could end your trip. I make use of zamorak brews there because they restore prayer and raise attack higher than super attack, along with a regular strength pot. You don't need the def and hp there, unless you're careless.

Ok this is what I have,

1 drag dagger(p++)

2 super str (4)

2 super atk (4)

12 sharks

1 salmon (to heal for damage on the way)

3 prayer pots

2 anti fire pots

steel axe

875 gold

and explorer ring 3 for safety measures

Ima switch to my actual computer seeing as laptops or simply no fun when you get WSOD

Btw thanks for all the hospitality around here. Tip.it is now tied for the best forum community along with Mechg.

I Hopefully plan on doing these guys in one trip. One more question when I reach 70 slayer should 1 grab dragon slayer gloves?

I have like 7k tokens from fog that I was gonna use on earth crafting gloves and some other stuff.

Take the dragon slay gloves after 70 Slayer. I've got them too, and they're absolutely great for all the Blue/Red/Black/Metal Dragon assignments you get. Don't use them on Baby Drags though: terrible waste of charges.

Chuck Norris doesn't ever need a compass; he randomly points somewhere and north goes there in order not to anger him.

I wouldn't melee them: just go ranging/maging and drink anti fire pots..

Maybe it's faster at your levels with melee; however you would want to up your ranged and magic levels someday anyways!

First they came to fishing

and I didn't speak out because I wasn't fishing

Then they came to the yews

and I didn't speak out because I didn't cut yews

Then they came for the ores

and I didn't speak out because I didn't collect ores

Then they came for me

and there was no one left to speak out for me.

Meh it was way faster with melee. Finished up in 1 trip. I killed like 10 normal prayer and then I saw how they attacked and just Flashed them. Some parts were a bit hard as it lagged sometimes whehn they used their dragonbreath 3 or more times in a row.

Range them in the Ogre Enclave or Hero's Guild Basement.. Bank all the hides and bones too. Decent money actually. :)

If you really want to make it a quick task with no profit, just kill the babies in the Talvery Dungeon.

It'd work. Honestly you shouldn't prayer flash until at least your second run. See what kind of rhythm you need.

Mage and ranged are more effective but not for you. Slayer helm is a good idea.

Thoroughly retired, may still write now and again

Yep had all that stuff. I pray flash everything now. Iron dragons are just like bronze so it's all good. I didnt use Zammy brews because there was a wait at the ge and I only had a whip for 2 hours.

I was hitting24 average on them pretty often too. I saw some people down there ranging and maging but I was going way faster.

I have a pair (used 1) and I was absolutely disgusted by them, barrows preformed far better.

use barrow for 90% of the time to kill the dragon then switch to dragon slayer gloves for the last 10% for the extra slayer exp

Burthorpe it. You don't have stats high enough to make it worth your time.
