Whats the best way to go about doing a cave crawler task? Do the large ones have good enough drops to be worth the extra effort?

The amount of EXP you get per Task Depends on that Monster's HP. So the Higher Level a Moster is the more EXP you get.

Yes, they're are lvl 138 cave crawlers too. And the ones you're talking about have 22 hp.

They drop decent herbs and it's not so rare to get ranarr drops, and at only 22 hp, their drops are not garbage.

At least qeltar thinks so :P You can do some quick field mixing of pots for the cheap ones, just kill the little'uns though.

Definitely not worth killing the 138 ones. They don't even have better drops than the low level ones. Just kill them in the slayer dungeon--you can do the task in one trip easily and you should get some good herbs out of it.

Agreed. The newer ones with the higher level are not worth it. Cannonable though.

I suppose, though cannoning would be a waste IMO.
