ClareJonsson Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 It is very likely that a virus can be packaged in an Acrobat document. You can embed almost anything into a PDF. Although it is speculated that people using Acrobat Reader only and not Writer are immune as the code used to exploit embedded documents is not present in Acrobat reader. DaN Posted September 15, 2008 Share Posted September 15, 2008 It's possible to write malicious code into ANY file. However that code is only dangerous if you system executes it. Adobe reader wont run any code it isn't built for so you will most likely get just an error message when trying to read the document.
