September 16, 200817 yr I was discussing with someone at the monkfish place about 99ing an easy skill. The person recommended COOKING monkfish, simply buying 10k, cooking them all, sell what you can, rebuy. I have enough $$ to probably repeat this cycle 5-6 times, and I calcd it would take nearly 85k monkfish to do this. Is this a sound plan, or is there a better route? Edit: Changed wording for easier understanding.
September 16, 200817 yr That sound's just alright. :) And if you have done Varrock Diary "Hard" , I would recommend you to use Cooking Guilds bank + Stove.
September 16, 200817 yr Author To me it sounds like it wouldn't take too long and that it wouldn't cost too much. Firemaking would take a while because of all of the clicking.

September 16, 200817 yr Author I think I estimated about a 4M loss (though, it is a very loose estimate.)

September 16, 200817 yr It's better to switch fish depending on which level you are, and if you have cooking gloves, going for the highest you can cook without burning. For instance: lobs => swordfish => monkfish => sharks. There's also ways to get 99 cooking for dirt cheap, so don't jump on the monkfish trigger yet. Look at the price differences between cooked and raw fish, and you can figure out some pretty cheap ways. Even longer cheaper ways aren't too bad, the people at rogues den are usually good conversation so it goes faster.
September 16, 200817 yr Author Well I can afford the monks and my burn rate is acceptable (3 or so every inventory). My plan is to actually fish the monks that I burn, to make up for the difference. I have fishing gauntlets and my cooking is 66 (well soon to be). Another reason that I am picking fishing is that it allows me to do other things while my character is cooking. I work 45h a week and I'm taking 14credit hours at college..not a lot of time!
September 16, 200817 yr Author If I switch to sharks later, what level cooking would be the most efficient to do so?
September 16, 200817 yr If I switch to sharks later, what level cooking would be the most efficient to do so?You stop burning sharks with cooking gauntlets at level 94.
