September 17, 200817 yr Last night i decided that after getting 70fishing, 70cooking, 70wc and 70 fm im going to get my mining upto 60. i decided to get that by mining coal all the way. Mining till 60 would give me about 3k coal and then im going to buy 1.5k iron ore, smelt it all into steel bars and smith them... the question is, what should i smith? im not looking for THE fastest exp, im just looking for something that will actually sell on the GE..any help? |Tip.it's TOP F.o.G player|Current Goals: 95STR/95ATK/95RANGED|

September 17, 200817 yr Hello Slaytanicc, through my experiences, I have noticed something very little people know; that is, buying silver ores in GE and smelting into bars. The biggest surprise is, silver bars are cheaper than ores. Each ore provides a whopping 13.7 exp each, kindly provided by Tipit. So what I am suggesting, is selling all the ores you mined (iron, coal) trade them in for some silver ore. -happy smithing. ~Thy_0ld_Skil
September 17, 200817 yr Author That will be slow as heck.. i really hate smithing, and i dont want to make it even more hateably by getting slow [wagon] exp... |Tip.it's TOP F.o.G player|Current Goals: 95STR/95ATK/95RANGED|
September 17, 200817 yr Mining coal shows how little you value you your time, then you do the fastest method possible? Just powermine coal, and train smithing using a medium speed method. You'll get much more xp in both mining and smithing in less time. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

Please not that at this moment i might just have become the stingiest RS playing ever having lost over 165mil in just a day, meaning i want to do it in a way i loose nothing. So i have all the time in the world. if i am able to mine 3k coal in 4 or 5 days ill be happy. I just need to know what the best item is to smith. |Tip.it's TOP F.o.G player|Current Goals: 95STR/95ATK/95RANGED|
September 17, 200817 yr Try using the word efficient next time. I'm not so sure on F2P, but I hear (?) Mithril bars are good for superheating. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

September 17, 200817 yr Oh, 45 smithing. In all honesty, it doens't really make a difference. The 5 levels will fly by pretty fast, smelt steel bars or something. [Summoning guide (AOW)] [Slayer guide] [Melee & Brawl player]

September 17, 200817 yr Iron Ore = 98gp each Coal = 173gp each Nats = 240gp each Steel bars = 618gp each Overall, its a 66gp loss. EDIT: After 50 smithing, do mithril bars. Buy mith and coal ores in ratio of 1:4 and nats, superheat them into mithril bars and sell them in GE. It's how I did :P R.I.P. Neko :[5,445,898,965th to 99 WoodcuttingBlogs are dead

I can't give you the exact figures but it surely depends on the world population and the time you take in each run. To be honest, if you want a great breakthrough in smithing, I really suggest you to buy the ore instead. Scimmies are a REALLY bad idea. 2 mith bars are worth 2116gp total and scimies are sold for 524gp. Thats a loss of almost 1.6k each. R.I.P. Neko :[5,445,898,965th to 99 WoodcuttingBlogs are dead

You just need to stand in the GE, buy the necessary materials and sell the bars. But overall, it's a loss of 36gp each. So if you want profit only, superheating is not for you. R.I.P. September 17, 200817 yr for f2p smithing should go like this 45-70 super heat mith bars 70-88 superheat addy bars 88+ smith addy plates or superheat addy bars in other words, dont mine you ores and smith them...its horrible for efficiency. seriously. mining coal is stupid, even in f2p. Retired after 2 accounts and 8 years of scapin...2 accounts over 2,000 total...may my life rest in peaceBrawl Code:5327-0581-3706
September 17, 200817 yr tbh superheating is a good idea ONLY when MONEY IS NO OBJECTIVE and you WANT TO SMITH YOUR OWN BARS AND TURN THEM INTO A PRODUCED ARMOR/WEAPON. This is the f2p way of smithing gold ores to bars with goldsmith gaunts. Iron and Coal to Steel Bars imo is the best. 95/99 Summoning95/99 Slayer [hide=This is what you look like when you play RS too long][/hide]
