o_knames
The Tip.it guide (and the KB too, if I remember correctly) list the xp per Sanfew Serum as 160. Whenever I made them, I always calculated 192. I was making a small batch, so I thought I'd confirm. Sure enough, it's 192. But wait, there's more. I was making batches out of 4 dose Super Restores to save on Nail Beast Nails and Snake Weeds. I had a couple of Super Restores left over, so I made a 2 dose and a 3 dose. Sure enough, the exp was lower. This makes sense because you could just make a bunch of 1 doses for much cheaper exp. I didn't take the time to do the calculations, but I'm pretty sure the 3 dose was 160 and 2 dose 128. That would seem to make the 1 dose 106. It might be worth some intrepid research. la la la
Well it appears that it is 160 xp for your normal 3-dose potion, and + or - 32 xp for each additional dose or dose left out. Therefore, 4 doses would be 192, as you said, 2 doses would be 128 (160-32), and 1 dose would be 96? Very interesting that you can make sanfew serums like that. SportsGuy
I was bored and I decided to check on this for you. I found this: Since nailbeast nails for Sanfew serum aren't easy to get, squeeze an extra dose out of them by using a Super Restore(4) as your first ingredient instead of a (3). In the 'Tips' section here: http://tip.it/runescape/?page=herblore_guide.htm I think the Herblore guide and the KB are referring to the regular means of making potions (which create multi-dose potions in three doses) as shown in the (3). I'm not sure how it would be represented...maybe adding all the versions of potions and the experience for each in the table or just a more thorough notation in the 'Tips' section?
