  1. Is there some trick to that fight? I was surprised at how tough it was. I read something about using one of the bosses to block the others, but I can't seem to make that happen.
  2. Just confirming that the Instakill/Deathtouched Darts work on the final boss in the Fight Kiln (Har-Aken). I assume it would if I use it on the head when it pops up. I've looked on various forums and that seems to be what people think, but I was hoping to get hard confirmation. I'm not looking to debate whether someone actually should use their dart for that boss. I'm close to the Completionist Cape and will likely cut back on my playing time afterward, so I'm just looking to save some hassle for myself.
  3. As to a), if they know you've ignored their spam message then they also know that you're not a likely customer. As to b), I think it's safe to assume that they expect to be reported. I think you may be overthinking the spammer business model.
  4. So I ended up getting the Jack of Trades, and the calculation given above checked out. With the Dwarven Military Axe and killing a few locals, I did the 10 skills in less than 5 minutes. A pretty good supplement for RC training, in my opinion.
  5. Now that I have the loyalty points, I was considering getting the Jack of Trades aura to supplement my skill training. I can't find any information about how much XP you get from it. Obviously, I'd only get the aura if it's worth it. Any ideas?
  6. For what it's worth, W88 was totally empty, but W71 is populated. Thanks again.
  7. Is there a world that people use for the dwarven Lava Flow mine? Thanks.
  8. Currently level 95 Dung, looking for a group or clan to train past 99. Skills in sig, but to summarize: 2423 total levels; 18 99's; all skills 91+. Have hood and 2H bound. I am located in EST. I will be training Dungeoneering almost exclusively at least until 99 and most likely beyond.
  9. Unless I'm mistaken, the Construction Table does not include the Oak Prize Chest in the list of objects in the Games Room.
  10. The spirit tree storage seems a little curious to me. Just having it to save bank space doesn't seem to be worth the effort to put into the game. I wonder if there's something they have planned that having seeds saved would be worthwhile. Upon further reflection, they may just be adding the additional spirit tree patch later and want to give some incentive to be ready for its delayed release.
  11. I've noticed that there are an increasing number of worlds that have pings significantly lower than what I'm accustomed. It used to be I'd never get lower than 79/80. Now there are 6 under 50. Is Jagez making upgrades or something? I'm not a hardware person, just curious.
  12. I'm fairly sure I was a Miniclip kid. :ugeek: I was too, if you count a 26-year-old dude looking for a way to goof off during boring grad classes.
  13. I got my 99 Slayer a week or two after effigies entered the scene, so I can't really speak to that. That said, I thought Warped Tortoises were quick and profitable (I used a titan). Gargoyles and Greater Demons are really fast in Duradal's Dungeon. Dust Devils, Fire Giants, and Kalphites are also really fast, but I'm not sure what kind of effigies you'd get. I guess it all depends on how many you can cancel.
  14. I'm currently training RC so I can do this same remaining Freminnik Diary task. I'm going straight to 82 because I plan on going up to 87 so I can +4 stew for the Karamja Diary double nature task. I think the larger question is: why does runecrafting suck so bad?
  15. Would using a lava titan's +10 mining bonus work with respect to effigies? I've never used that familiar and assume that the bonus is invisible.
  16. Do you have the clue on your person?
  17. Of course, it seems obvious that you were being sarcastic, and it would be nice if Jagex recognized that. But at the same time, I don't think they should necessarily have to maintain the manpower required to sort through everyone who appeals using the Sarcasm Defense. Bottom line, you didn't need to say it, so you probably shouldn't have. A 14 day mute isn't the end of the world and seems proportional to the offense. Hopefully you won't have any further run-ins and this will end up a minor annoyance in the long-run.
  18. 1. Farming tree run + Plant replacement fruit trees 2. Circus 3. Herblore (~ 4k pots, should be able to get from 87 to 91) 4. Crafting (have some random materials stockpiled) 5. Summoning (after 1.1 multiplier, ~ 2k charms, mostly crimsons) 6. Regular Farming runs 7. Hunter / Agility (between Farming runs, whichever skill I feel like to train for effigies) It doesn't seem like my plan is terribly different than most other people's.
  19. On a related note, I would like to see the option for a one-time trade-in of items already bought after they release the new rewards. Normally I would say there's no reason to do so, but it takes so much effort to get some of those items, that it's almost time prohibitive to get any new ones. I would assume that such a trade-in would not be for full value and would be balanced appropriately.
  20. I don't particularly care about ranks for individual skills. I'm satisfied with getting to 99. I have found that overall rank has been somewhat motivating to keep training my non-99s.
  21. In part because I'm cheap, I use Barrelchest Anchor. Even though it's slow, it has better crush and strength bonuses than some of the other 2H options. It might be worth including in that list. I also don't really use prayer. I usually bank and restock using the fairy ring after each unicorn. It only takes 15 seconds and you get to keep more drops. The only downside is you have to deal with them being aggressive again, which is kind of a minor annoyance.
  22. I think a lot of this discussion will be rendered moot by the Batch 2 release. Speaking of which, the fact that they indicated using rings to implement the specialty classes and the glaring absence of capes and necklaces suggests to me that they may have something in store for those item slots.
  23. I'd have to go with the C Longsword, because the other one is CRapier. Sorry, couldn't resist.
  24. Your xp is only based on the floor, the prestige, and those other modifiers you see at the end. You can leave every monster minus the boss and gain the same xp. So don't feel the need to waste your time killing all monsters. Incorrect, if I'm not mistaken.. There is a penalty for leaving creatures.
