September 25, 200817 yr How to duo/trio Bandos using melee Well, I'm guessing you all know what Bandos is, how to get there and what to get KC on, so we can skip the basics and jump right into it. Oh, and just a warning, this topic will be constantly updated with different gears, set-ups and other such things, so comments and criticisms will be helpful. First of all, why duo or trio Bandos at all? For starters you can get much bigger splits for item drops, like a duo hilt is around 11-13m each, whereas with an LS team of 6 people, it's more like 4-6m each. You also get the satisfaction of seeing the hilt on the ground and marvel in its beauty and splendor. Aswell as this, duo and trio Bandos is a lot more fun as you don't just sit there for hours on end attacking the same thing over and over getting bored crapless. What levels are best You will definitely need 70+ strength to get into the Bandos encampment, but I suggest having atleast 85+ melee stats with 70+ prayer, although 90+ melee stats will be an advantage. And what gear do I take, I hear you ask? Well, I prefer the following set-up: The pizzas are pineapple pizzas, although they can be replaced with tuna potatoes or sharks. The staff is a dramen staff which can be used to quickly go to the As A First Resort pools from edge for inf run, hp, prayer and Bandos pools. The pouch is a war tortoise which will be filled with more food, although if you take terrorbirds then you will need a spare pouch in your inventory. Also, the amount of restores needed depends on the amount of people you go with, so always take 1 more restore than the amount of people going, for example if you have 3 people, take 4 restores. And if you go with 5+ people, take 2 pure sets. However, a few more alterations can be made to the gear, for example you can take Guthan's instead and heal on the minions after Graardor is dead. An obsidian shield will also work instead of a DFS, and if you plan on taking a GS, make sure that your friend take shield + whip for tanking, and the best GS to take is SGS. Another possibility is to take a speccing weapon too, like a D mace or hally. I currently prefer D mace as it is one-handed, so that you don't have to have a spare invent space and incase you forget to put your shield back on, and it also hits hard, up to 60 I think. If you havn't done As A First Resort, then a Bandos item might be helpful, in my opinion, tassets would be best as they offer a strength/prayer bonus with a decent defence bonus. However, ancient mace, Bandos boots or chestplate will also work. If you are taking an ancient mace as a Bandos item, then you can also use it's spec before you go in for a prayer boost. All in all, the above section condensed: Headgear Verac's -> Guthan's -> Torag's -> Neitiznot Necklace Fury -> Glory Chestplate Zamorak d'hide -> Karil's -> Black d'hide Legs Verac's -> Guthan's -> Bandos Boots Dragon -> Bandos -> Climbing -> Rune Weapon Whip -> SGS -> AGS/BGS -> ZGS Shield Dragonfire Shield -> Obsidian Gloves Barrows -> Dragon -> Rune etc Ring Berserker -> Warrior -> Wealth What to do when you go in there After you have got your KC, agree with your partner who will be tanking and make sure that you are potted up (brew then restore then pure set) with prayer on (melee prayer for the tanker, range prayer for the attacker). The tanker goes in first and can use their specs straight away (unless they are using an SGS, in which case, spec when HP/prayer is needed), the attacker then follows them in and gets straight onto Graardor. Make sure that both of you are attacking Graardor at all times and not the minions as this gets it killed quicker and lessens the amount of food that the tanker has to eat. You can also use piety if you want, which I suggest, as like before it quickens the kills, meaning you have to eat less. When Graardor is dead, the person getting attacked by the minions (the minion tanker) should mage pray as Steelwill is the strongest hitting of the minions, and both of you should get onto Steelwill. After Steelwill is dead, the minion tanker should switch to range pray and then you can get on a minion each. After each kill, share food/potions where needed, assign the next tanker and get ready for the next spawn. The tanker stands in the middle of the room, just by the mound slightly to the west of the east wall, and the attacker(s) stand either in the north or south west corners, or along the west wall. It's as easy as that, just make sure to bless your partners grave if they die ;) My drop log from duo/trio Not including shards. If you want any more help, feel free to post a question asking about it, and then I can form a FAQ into the guide.

September 25, 200817 yr You should probably use sharks because you eat them in one bite. And for me, at 84 prayer I need 4 super restores for one trip. Whips blows Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
September 25, 200817 yr Author You should probably use sharks because you eat them in one bite. And for me, at 84 prayer I need 4 super restores for one trip. Whips blows And if you read it, I say you can swap the pizzas for tuna potatoes or sharks. And at 82 prayer, I'm fine with using 3 restores for a duo trip. Oh, and about the whip, in my opinion, for small sized teams like a duo or trio, it's better. You can hit quicker than a GS, but still hit 40s, and it also allows you to have a shield if you need to tank it.
September 25, 200817 yr Good guide, shame that you cant split drops without a possibility of making jagex think you're breaking the rules though. Might want to suggest a healing familiar after the food in your beast of burden is used up. I bring a tortoise and a unicorn pouch and scrolls after I used up the food in it. I normally get 12-14 kills duo with a healing familiar but when I forgot mine I only got 8 kills.
September 25, 200817 yr And if you read it, I say you can swap the pizzas for tuna potatoes or sharks. And at 82 prayer, I'm fine with using 3 restores for a duo trip. I just said it because most people have 70 prayer, meaning they need more pots I just wouldn't use pizzas because of two bites. Not good if they miss graar or you get owned by minis Come to #tip-it on Swift IRC, if you're cool
September 26, 200817 yr Yeah, I'd go with godsword and tuna potatoes\sharks. Whip really isn't a good weapon for GWD bosses. December 10, 200817 yr Cool guide. I really want to kill Bandos with some friends. We have a 102 no summon, 117, and me. Would that be good enough? If not what lvls will I have to get? I plan on getting 70 prayer.

Bandos hilt: 17.10m (Range: 16.24m-17.95m Today: -73.4k) For 2 people, the share per person for bandos hilt would be approximately 8,122,500gp For 6 people, the share per person for bandos hilt would be approximately 2,707,500gp ^runescript Might wanna add row if u duo because if you go to a ls world you would normally get crashed. If you wanna 2 man pm me i love to bandos :) You might also wanna mention that if your low prayer you may have to add 1/2 restores. Maybe add familiar invo's too :P Proud Warlord of DragonwoodIf it's natural to kill, how come men have to go into training to learn how? ~ Joan Baez Rest in Peace 3xtermination
December 12, 200817 yr I like this guide but like what a lot of people said change the food. id rather go with someone else.
December 12, 200817 yr Its true about the crashed thing. Now, its impossible to get a empty world. If you solo, you WILL get crashed the second a scout hops to your world. When I duo, I usually go on a non-LS. The tank will heal off minions while tanking, while attacker does most of the damage. After it is certain the attacker gets the drop, tanker attacks the General. Dungeoneering isn't a skill. I'm faster than bots at Sorceress Garden. PM me if you want to chat. My PM is always off. My keyboard is on fire. Want some?
December 14, 200817 yr You have a good guide going, but as someone said the pizzas are 2 pieces which would be waste of reaction time. There is room for improvement. Someone have said whip is not good weapon, i disagree. If you use whip right, you can do very fast kills. Example you can add this to your guide for those who are rich duoers. Each players brings bgs, whip and shield. Bgs spec boss (2 specs shud give over 40+ defence lowering), then switch to shield and whip and kill ahead. Me and my friend lowered 90 defence together, and that makes boss very easy to be honest.
December 15, 200817 yr You have a good guide going, but as someone said the pizzas are 2 pieces which would be waste of reaction time. Actually when you eat a pizza you have about 1/2 second to eat the other half with no delay at all, just one eating motion. Agreed sharks would probably be better but pizza could work.
