the problem with lurers

Exactly what Campy said really.

If someone lures me, they die.

If I find some low level solo maging on a lootshare world, or on a fast spawn world, I will take their kills (but not lure them).

It really is hilarious though when teams who don't have much dking experience try luring me though ;)

dont use the offical forums

some idiot on a king black dragon trip decieded he didnt need a antifire shield

Antifire potion + magic protection prayer?

Allows you to use GS's or Dharoks effect. Yeah a bit more costly, but can speed up the kill.

The luring that is against the rules is decieving another player and bringing them into an area where they think they are safe because you tell them they are safe, but then you inentionally kill them or let them die.

Getting a monster on you, and letting it follow you to another player and getting them killed is not "luring" and is not against the rules in ANY way.

Its not really againts the rules to begin with. I dont agree with it but theres nothing againts it.

'Luring' is a player term when it comes to dks right? Because luring really is about luring players - Not npcs. Theres nothing againts luring npcs. They cannot item scam the npcs.

No I dont agree with their actions but they need to create a new rule. Nothing we can do about it. As for the reporting itself.. Its irrelevant at this point. Theres nothing to be reported for.

To sum this up. Luring 'players' is against the rules. Luring 'npcs' is not.

The strong survive, the weak die.

Just like America taking land from the Native Americans, no it wasn't nice; but history shows, the strong survive, and the weak die.

And it was against the rules for pk luring, not mob luring. Each monster has a certain size area that they can attack, if you are in that area; you need to be prepared to fight against it. There is a reason jagex put warning signs in like every dungeon. TO WARN YOU.

PS: I have never lured, this is just how I see it.

I have never DK'd, but as far as I'm concerned, it's not luring in the RS sense of the word. If you're maging Rex by yourself, you need to understand that there are two other bosses there, and you need to be prepared to fight them if they come close, regardless of whether or not it's by player influence.

I for one will never go to DK's unless I'm hybriding/tribriding with a team, or doing it solo. And by solo, I mean taking all three Kings.

Rant:

[hide=]It really bugs me when people say they're "soloing" the kings if they're just maging Rex. You're not soloing, you're hiding from the other two Kings.[/hide]

To put it bluntly, [bleep] off.

Like others have said, people lure now for mainly 2 reasons. The first one is to get a world (or defend it), and second is just to have fun. Honestly, when I go to DKs, it gets boring after a while, so when we duo hybrid, we spend about half the time trying to kill the other person. I'll put prime and supreme on him, he puts rex on me, then we have to spend the next couple minutes testing our skills and sorting it out. On more than one ocassion, our mages had teled, so I had to spend my time hallying rex while my partner solo hybridded prime and supreme.

Relating this to the first reason, people often like to test thier skills (survival of the fittest) so they will fight back when getting crashed, or if they're aggrivated enough (from hopping worlds), they'll just go crash the world where the less experienced people are hogging the worlds that would be of more use to the experts.

It's not really luring, as already stated, it's more of plowing down the safespots and leaving people to fend for themselves

You forget that the average age of the RS player is around 12-15. People at this age are immature, self-absorbed, and belligerent. Yes, many people who play RS are [wagon]. What do you want us to do about it? :?

I understand if you are just venting your frustration about it, though... But in that case, it belongs in Rants.

12-15? Are you kidding me? It's more like 9-14, and yeah... it really does depend on who is playing. A good amount of players 14+ are very mature, (Me being one of the only 14 year olds in sophomore...) including myself.
