Ok so I have 90 slayer, and am doing the quests for beasts now. Simple question

 

 

 

What is better?

 

 

 

Pray or unicorn/sgs. Which is cheaper, and which lasts longer. Id like to do these all in 1 trip if possible

 

 

 

pray set up would be

 

 

 

sgs

 

slayer helm

 

fury

 

Prosy legs/chest

 

d boots

 

barrows gloves

 

wealth/warrior/zerker.

 

attack cape (not trimmed yet unfortunately)

 

 

 

Or unicorn set up

 

 

 

SGS

 

Slayer helm

 

Fury

 

Bandos Chest/tassets

 

D boots

 

barrows gloves

 

weath/warrior/zerkr

 

attack cape

 

 

 

I only have 88 defense though atm

Although I do not have 90 slayer and have never been, the general impression I have gotten of them is that prayer is the only way to go. I beleive they deal a great deal of damage; enought that even a unicorn and very good defence bonus will make the trip extremely impractical.

 

 

 

And look on the bright side. If you get lucky and get a dark bow, it will more than pay for all the prayer potions. :)

use a whip+ rune def or unholy for pray, or whip+dfs/obby. sgs is really only good for spec, all gs's are only good for boss hunting tbh..

sgs is better then SS at abyssals, and ill be strength training till 99 then use whip after. I hear sgs out performs whip at dark beasts though ill have to test that. but will be ss/sgs till 99 str for now. whip after that all the way most likely (unless sgs out performs whip at beasts)

ive never played the new rc guild mini game. but how long would it take to get 20-30 death altar teles?

not long considering you make up to around 900 tokens a game.

I'd say stick it out with Prayer.

Not sure about Dark beasts, but Whip>GS with a black mask. (Even without, probably)

I've never been there, but If I were you I'd just stick to p pots. One bow drop can easily pay for the pots for a couple trips so it won't cut profit all that much.

 

 

 

But like infamous said, you could try all three. Just tank, and once you've taken some damage, just pray till your unicorn can heal you back to full health, after which you can keep tanking again. I'm not sure if you would need to bring pray bonus equipment to switch into when praying, but that might just waste alot of inventory space. Not too sure if this will work, but i'm sure someone who's actually been there will be able to clarify this for you.
