They're very in the middle. They're worth doing if you can stand them, but not a big deal if you skip them. Using the hammer can be annoying though.

You should just do this task and decide from then on. They're not amazing, but not horrible either. If you can stand them, do them. If not, then skip. No big deal.

Around 10 blues per task, and a mystic top or g maul if you're lucky. Also drops 3-4 pairs fo addy boots. Kinda useless but it's a free 2k.

 

 

 

Also, use the chaos tunnels to kill them, close to a bank and the ge, plus easy to get to.

Yeah, it's not mandatory or anything. Just make sure not to have 2 gargs on you, which isn't too hard. You could still bring a familiar though. Every bit helps. ;)

Just the highest one that trains the skill you want exp in. Iron mino for def, Cockatrice for mage, ect.

 

 

 

You don't need a BoB though, the banks literally 30 seconds away. :)

Personally I like gargs, but skip em whenever I don't feel like clicking the hammer :lol: i would advise against usint the CT though, and just going with a bunyip at the tower. On second thought, I remembered you saying that you had 52 or so summoning as I was typing this so...yeah.

Personally, I hate Gargoyles. The whole rock hammer thing I hate. I skip Gargoyle tasks when I have the points. When I dont, I do them. Decent blue charms.

Using the hammer is annoying and they move oddly meaning hitting them is harder than it should be. They also hit pretty hard through even the toughest of armour. I do them with Bunyip/Super Pots inc Def and still need to use the Guthans heal.

 

 

 

However they drop blue charms, granite mauls and black mystic tops and you will always operate at a profit.

 

 

 

They are weak to crush attacks, so Sara Sword owns.

i didnt know theyre weak to crush because im using whip and it working well, and i got similar lvs to u, i use sup att and str with bunyip and im dont need something else to heal up my hp.

 

 

 

if ur going to bring a familiar, u should bring a healing or a fighting familair that is small in size because theres not much space.

I'd imagine your 99 defense compared to my 90 would be the reason :P

 

 

 

Plus the crush weakness isn't as noticable as it is with Waterfiends. The defense of the Gargoyles is pretty low so if you have a highish attack level slash attacks work just as well.

 

 

 

They are also weak to magic apparantly, though I've never ever seen anyone maging them.

Cos it's been tested. The difference is noticable at lower levels, but with melee stats in the 90's it isn't.

 

 

 

Likewise the Waterfiends weakness to crush wouldn't matter so much if you could get melee stats over 99. Sooner or later your going to be able to overpower it, even with something it isn't weak too.

I dont mind them. Its the norm for exp (105) the hammer doesnt really bother me much i always rich click them hammer them. so the hopping hardly affects me.

 

 

 

Mauls are like 65k ea now which is reasonable, and usually you get multiple rune fulls.

 

 

 

Its at best a mediocre task, I got 360k in loot from them last task which was quite unlikely (3 mauls)

 

 

 

Blue charms usually 10+ per task same with crimson

 

 

 

I can do the task without food with bunyip and sgs but They will hit you harder without those 2 items.

 

 

 

I say give it a try at least

He's right about that. Pyrefiends are weak to crush attacks too if I remember correctly(based of the slayer master tips thing), but they're so pathetically weak that the difference is negligible.
