October 14, 200817 yr So, as for about three days now I've been unable to login on Runescape to the forums or even the game due to Firefox automatically closing itself out. I can get to the world select screen that is not part of the game itself, but not the login screen before it will close itself out. Any ideas of what the problem is, and how to fix it? I'm currently running AVG, and Ad-Aware to try to remedy this.
October 14, 200817 yr It's a problem that Firefox 3 has with java. It happens to me as well, Firefox just crashes whenever it tries to open a java applet.

For me, it's Firefox 2 that did that, and I never had any problems with Firefox 3. I believe the author of the topic could try Firefox 2 though just to see.
October 14, 200817 yr captainpoet, we need an extreme amount of system specs to really be able to help you and give advice that will have any true meaning... At the moment, you've been as clear as MUD with us... Please provide those, and then we may be able to give you some idea of what to do. Thanks in advance. :geek: ~Mr. D. V. "Info, please?" October 14, 200817 yr It really bugs me that there's a sticky about this and yet so many people seem to ignore it :/. Perhaps putting the title in capitals? There is little we can do to help at the moment, as Devnull said, because we NEED more information? What version of Java do you have? What version of Firefox do you have? What are your computers specifications (Go to Run and type 'dxdiag')? More information please :!: "In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
October 14, 200817 yr Same thing is currently happening to me, only just occurred though. I can first load the game interface with no lag, play with no lag, then about 30 mins in I get a major lag and either shut down or have major problems trying to load the engine again. I also tried Google Chrome, does the same thing. October 15, 200817 yr On the tone of more information, could someone please tell us if there is an error message that was spat back at you, or if there was a hs_err_pid_* file somewhere on your machine? Those would REALLY help! Linux User/Enthusiast | Full-Stack Software Engineer | Stack Overflow Member | GIMP User...Alright, the Elf City update lured me back to RS over a year ago.
