Nice guide, but there are a few things... Have you ever tried using a rune longsword? It's much better than you might think :P And Magic level increases your magic defence, it's very useful for all pures.

 

 

 

I have a pure too, named 'Z8w' :P (3 letter names ftw :)) His stats are:

 

 

 

 

 

 

42 combat. He's a melee pure (Magic is for teleports/magic defence and range is for armour, I'm going to get 40 someday... maybe ;)).

Psychological Effects of Pures (Combat)

 

Creating and owning a pure account does have an impact on the individuals mind. I think it is of great importance to share details of possible psychological effects. First off, the creation of a pure helps improve the logic of the average player. Hey, lets face it: Pures simply experience more in the game and the desire to be a good pure, you naturally develop logic. Compare the average pure to the average player who has Defence. The player with Defence usually has less knowledge about the game, not to mention a little lack of common sense. Seriously, go take a look at the normal player with Defence around 50 to 70 combat. They really seem STUPID.

 

Stupid, eh? I actually have a better knowledge of runescapes lore and systems because i can do quests and i level up more. So there.

Etiquette of Pures

 

Pures actually do have etiquette that they follow during and after combat. The following are common rules followed by true pures:

 

Wish the opponent Gl before every fight as a large portion of the fight is luck

 

After either player has died, both players say Gf to express they enjoyed it

 

Always ask before starting a fight

 

Always give your opponent enough time to get ready (pots, Prayer, etc.)

 

NEVER PJ OTHERS

 

No protection of itemsall pures need to make a living; if you cant, then a pure is not the right thing for you

 

No protection Prayers during fights

 

Redo fights if your opponent loses connection or lags outtruly good pures would be able to win again

 

Never trash talk your opponent, whether he is superior or inferior

 

 

 

The Ten Commandments of a Pure

 

The following are ten rules pures should always follow; some may be a repetition of etiquette.

 

1. Always stay true to your idealnever raise Defence

 

2. NEVER PJ others

 

3. Never trash talk others, whether they are superior or inferior

 

4. Always ask before fighting; give enough preparation time

 

5. Never pick on lower leveled players

 

6. Admit defeat when it comesnobody is perfect

 

7. Always respect other pures: the uniqueness of pures is why the pure community thrives

 

8. Help guide other pures in need of assistance

 

9. Never quit due to stupid updatesthe good always comes after the storm

 

10. Never commit an act that brings shame to the PURE community

 

 

 

I know of few Pures that actually do follow those "Commandments".Hell, i know of few pures that actually have the intelligence to type properly and Nt lyk d1s LOL!

 

 

 

Seriously.Good guide and all, but in my experience; i haven't really seen much pures act nice or never trash talk.Its either "fyte u n00b" or if I have Won/Lost "wow.Gf n3rd"

 

 

 

I think thats the kind of people that give pures a bad name.(That said, i dont mean all of them do or act like that.)

Lol... This is useless information to be honest. 1 Defense pures have been proven useless many times, the fact is that tanks and 45 defense pures roll them. It is just a way of life. And your statement about pures dominating the game makes me laugh as well. The only thing pures dominate is....... other pures. Sorry.
