Reinstall Java and use a stable version, not a release-candidate.

Also, what does the error message say? Post a screenshot or copy the text.

It's like

Error!

*Random Numbers* at *Random Numbers*

Pretty small message :/

*random numbers* at *random numbers* doesn't really say much.

The error code should be static (unchanging).. There are a few different errors that could be thrown up. Those exact numbers could mean you get the problem solved faster.

I would say write down the error exactly as you see it next time it comes up, and post it here.

Also, uninstall your java, and install Java 6 Update 7 (not the release candidate for 10). If it works with 7, but not 10rc, then you've pretty much solved the problem. If it still doesn't work, then that error message becomes more important.

You were a couple years ago.

1. How many things do you have running when you attempt to play RuneScape? This is a huge factor since it turns out that your machine is barely capable of running RuneScape as it is -- the graphics card comes in at bare minimum specs, and you don't have enough RAM to really multitask. [i'm also curious as to what speed your processor runs, you forgot to mention that.]

2) Java 6u10 isn't a release candidate; it's very much stable, and I'm using it right now on my laptop.

3) Have you defragmented your machine lately? What is your OS, specifically (probably XP, but I won't assume).

Why the hell does it say RC then? When a software has rc after it's name, i interperate it as "release candidate".

Yes, I am quite well aware of the naming schema that Java uses for its release-candidates. However, could you please explain this page, since I can't see "RC" anywhere on there?

Guys, COOL THE HELL DOWN!!!

It really is at all possible that salad170 downloaded his version of JRE v6u10 well BEFORE Sun Microsystems went and released the final stable version level. To which case it would be no wonder that they have that bloody "rc" marker on their version!!! :ugeek:

Now, let's all sit back and wait to hear from salad170 as to what their results are with JRE v6u7 ... Personally, I hope it did happen to work for them. ::'

Hehe lol

I got Windows XP, my comp is 7 years old (Hell ye :D) I got Java 6u7 now and when I try to get on runescape I only have the web browser hoppened, with nothing else in the tabs. I defragmented my comp 2 days ago and virus scanned yesterday.

Also if possible, my comp is being SO SLOW at some times and when it's not slow, it's just enough so I don't get a hammer to break the comp. I tryed Spybot, Spyware Doctor. Both found nothing and if possible I want to fix my registry errors, I got 650 :geek:

EDIT: Woohoo I got bunch of errors! First one

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORER[Caution: Executable File]

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information."

Oh nvm that was the only one :/

I can explain it with *check his first post*.

In his first post, "1.6.0_10-rc". I was reacting to that.

That's why i said that he should use a stable version, not a rc.

@Salad - If you want something to fix registry issues with, you could download CCcleaner.

(with my little knowledge of software) I think that is a bug with IE... It happens once in a while that i crashes, but someone with more knowledge about it should give you a better answer.

Lol OldJoe, I realised this morning (while doing my computer clean up with CCleaner) That there were a registry error thingy o.o. I'm gonna put it to fix them soon.

Also my mom just said were gonna get a new comp (Hell ye :D)

EDIT: Finaly I had less regestry errors then I tought, ONLY 600 ::' I'm really suprised CCleaner lets you delete/repair/fix ALL of them for free. I've try other programs but they only repaired 15 -.- Now I like CCleaner even more :D

Also I cropped and transfered 90% of my pics to ONE CD (Again, suprised o.o) and after cropping/tranfering those 90%, I got over 2.5 go of memory back! Moral of story, CROP ALL YOUR PICS!!

Salad170, you sound like you need an External HD to save a ton of your stuff on... :geek: ... Unless you really like the idea of trimming away parts of the original files that you might want later... :P ... The following External HD should do:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136170

Enjoy! 8-)

So, you would rather pay $1.14/1GB of data storage space, instead of $0.28/1GB??? Why would you want to use up that much money for so little space??? Your current chosen method of data storage is utterly cost-ineffective!!! :shame:
