I Know that getting a stat bonus for prayer is supposed to make the point s go slower, I also know that thanks to the new updates you can get 20+ stat bonus for prayer but really when does the slowdowon of the use of prayer points really matter. ;)

If you got big prayer bonus you wont use as much prayer potions to pray against the dragons.

First use armour with no prayer bonus,

 

Then use armour with some prayer bonus and notice the difference.

 

It might be a small difference but it is a difference so it is usefull.

Ever played FOG in a F2P world? You'll find that full monk with a holy symbol (and protection prayers) beat the other options by tons. If you use prayer in FOG, try using a protection prayer with rune, or dragonhide, then try doing it with the items I listed earlier. You'll find that prayer bonus does indeed make a difference.

From experience i've noticed that around 15-20 prayer bonus makes prayer drain at around half speed, which makes any task that your praying on last twice as long.

 

 

 

You have to remember to comprimise betwen kill speed and prayer bonus though, gear too much towards prayer bonus an you'l be killing too slow for it to be worthwhile.

Very true. However, don't sacrifise too much offensive for Prayer, such as the Unholy book for Rune defender.
