People who say it is bad for slayer because of its low defence are complete and utter idiots. End of story.

Agree cause if you lose def on helm you gain at using a DFS for example....

 

Or get 99 def and wear the mask :lol:

Only use helm/mask with slayer tasks.

Obviousy, but I was wondering about why many people disagree with using it while slaying.

Many people don't, and the few that do disagree with the helmet are probably level 50's with 15 slayer. You have two people with 92+ slayer posting in this topic, listen to them. I am 99 slayer and I have another account with 93, I know a little about it.

These "people" that call it rubbish are just reffering to the fact that it has low defence compared to a torag's helmet or some other barrows. The fact is that it gives +15% att and str which no other helmet does at all, and those bonuses are huge.

 

 

 

Another way to look at this is compare a rune defender to say a mithril kiteshield. Sure the kite has more defence, but the defenders bonuses overpower it by so much that it doesn't matter.

That was my thoughts. And yeah, who needs a bit more defenxe when you kill it before it has a change to hit you. \
